In the name of God Amen.
I Elizabeth Gell of Kenna in the parish of Kirk German widow of John Gell
considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind
memory and understanding and desirous to settle my worldly affairs do make
this my last will and testament in manner and form following
hereby revoking rescinding and rendering void negatory and force or
effect all other and former will or wills by me heretofore made and executed
and declaring this paper writing only to be my last will and testament.
I leave and bequeath to my daughter Margaret wife of John Clucas of Rushen
and to my daughter Mary Wife of Thomas  Mylchreest Junior of Ballagarey  the
sum of forty pounds sterling each as legacies to be
payable and paid to them the said Margaret Clucas and Mary Mylchreest
respectively for their sole and exclusive use and benefit.
I leave and bequeath to my sons Robert, William, and Evan twenty pounds
sterling each as legacy Elizabeth Gell and Ann Elizabeth Gell ten pounds
sterling each as legacies
I leave and bequeath to Margaret Gell widow of my son John Gell
deceased four pounds to purchase mourning and I do declare it to be my will
and desire that the legacies payable under this will to my daughter Margaret
and Mary and to my sons Robert  William and Evan shall be payable and paid
to them respectively exclusive and independent of their respective claims to
the residue or remainder of my husbands personal estate under this will
which bears date the twenty ninth day of January
one thousand eight hundred and thirty four after payment of debts legacies
and funeral expenses as in the said will last mentioned
expressed and set forth to my executrix herein after named such debts
legacies and funeral expenses having already been paid by me and the
real properties in the said will devised vested in the devisees thereto
entitled respectively.
I leave and bequeath to Margaret Gell widow of my son Philip Gell a
legacy of five shillings.
I leave and bequeath to the Vicar and Wardens of Kirk German for the
time being and their successors the office forever the sum of twenty pounds
sterling.  In trust that they will pay out that sum at interest on good
security and annually apply such interest toward the education  of two poor
children in St John's Parochial School such children to be from time to time
nominated by my grandson John Gell and his heirs forever.
I leave devise and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Gell all my right
title and interest in and unto my dwelling house stable yard and garden
situate in Peeltown at present occupied by John Clarke this is also
independent of her claim in her fatheršs personal estate under his will.
And lastly I do nominate constitute and appoint my said daughter
Elizabeth Gell sole executrix and residuary legatee of this my will.
As witness my name this twenty ninth day of August One thousand eight
hundred and forty five.
