The humble petition of Jane Quine widow of Thomas Quine late of this
town of Peel deceased.
Sheweth:  That the said Thomas Quine on or about the 13th Nov last departed
this life but previously thereto to wit on the fifth day of November one
thousand eight hundred and fifty one duly executed this
last will and testament in writing whereof he appointed your petitioner
executrix and residuary legatee.
That your petitioner is desirous that the said will would be  proved and
probate hereto of granted to her in form of law in order to enable her to
obtain certain rents and their monies due to the said Thomas Quine at
the time of his death.
Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing of the petition and that your
Worship may be pleased to received the said will and to grant probate
thereof to your petitioner in form of law or otherwise as to your
Worship may seem meet.
And your petitioner will pray.

Ordered that the petition do come on to be heard at an Ecclesiastical
Court to be holden at Kirk Michael on Tuesday the 29 day of January instant
at 10 o'clock in the forenoon whereof all proper parties are to
have due notice.
Given this 6th day of January 1852.

In the name of God Amen.   I Thomas Quine of the town of Peel Schoolmaster
being of sound mind memory and understanding though
weak in body and calling to mind the uncertainty of this life do in order
to settle my worldly affairs make this my last will and testament in manner
and form following.
I commend my soul to God and my body to be decently interred by my executrix
herein after named.
I leave and bequeath to my sons Thomas, John, William, Radcliffe,
Francis and Frederick Quine the sum of six pence each as a legacy and to my
daughters
Ann, James, and Louisa Quine the like sum of six pence each as a legacy. And
lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my loving wife
Jane Quine whole and sole executrix and residuary legatee of this my
will hereby revoking all other wills by me made declaring this to be my
last and barring all other claimants with six pence legacy.  As witness
my name this fifth day of November 1841.  Thomas Quine.
Signed and duly executed by the testator as and for his last will in
presence of us who at his request in his presence and in presence of each
other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses:
