			The humble petition of Catherine 
			Radcliffe of the parish of Michael

Sheweth
    That your petitioner's husband Charles 
    Radcliffe of Crogganne in the parish of Andreas
    Lately departed this life having previously
    Published his last Will and Testament in 
    Writing whereof he appointed your petitioner
    Executrix	  
	    Wherefore your petitioner prays
		  A hearing of this petition and 
		  That your Worship may be
		  Pleased to grant your petitoner's
		  Probate of the Will of the said 
		  Charles Radcliffe and your petr 	
		  Will pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be
Heard at a Court to be holden at Ramsey 
On Friday next Whereof all proper parties
To have due notice.

At an Eccl Court held in Ramsey the 10th Dec 1852.
Upon hearing this petition after notice to parties and upon 
Examining F. B. Clucas Esq. One of the subscribing witnesses to 
The will of Charles Radcliffe dec'd I am of opinion that 
The due execution thereof by the Testator has been proven
And that therefore probate to be granted as prayed for and
The same is ordered and adjudged accordingly.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Charles
Radcliffe of Croggane in the parish of Andreas
And Catherine Radcliffe my wife both being at
The making hereof of sound mind memory and 
Understanding.
We mutually and reciprocally leave and bequeath
Unto the survivor of us all ad singular the whole
Of the houses yards and premises to us belonging situated
In the town of Ramsey and a parcel of intack land
Situate in the parish of Andreas called and known by 
The name of the Sargagh Voleagh also all and 
Singular a certain parcel of intack land called and 
Commonly known by the name of Wattleworth
Curragh and situate in the parish of Lezayre also
All and singular the whole of our goods and 
Chattels, rights, and credits and personal estate of what
Kind or nature soever To Have and To Hold 
Unto the Survivor of us and his or her heirs and
Assignees absolutely forever subject however to
And Charges and chargeable with the payment
Of the Sum of Twenty pounds each unto our daughters
Jane Cannell, Catherine Clark Ann Higgins and 
Eliza Cainas legacies which we hereby leave 
And bequeath unto them severally as aforesaid and
Which is to be payable to them respectively at 
The end of twelve months after the decease of 
The first of us who shall depart this life.
We leave and bequeath unto any the person who
Could otherwise claim any interest in our estate
One shilling legacy
We mutually and reciprocally nominate constitute
And appoint the survivor of us whole ad sole 
Executor and executrix of this our joint Will.
Thereby revoking all former Will or Wills by us 
Or either of us at any time heretofore made
And declaring this to be our last Will and 
Testament. In Witness whereof we have hereunto
Subscribed our names this fifth day of January
One Thousand eight Hundred and forty nine

At an Eccl Court held in Ramsey the 10th Dec 1852
F.B. Clucas one of the subscribing witnesses to this 
Foregoing paper writing purporting to be the Last Will
And Testament of Charles Radcliffe dec having made oath 
On the holy Evangelists that the Testator when of sound
Disposing mind duly signed and executed the same as
And for his last will and testament in presence of John 
Kneale the other witness and the _____ Cath Radcliffe
The executrix and survivor is therefore sworn well and truly
To fulfill and execute the same according to Law to pay
All just debts legacies and funeral expenses of the testator so
Far forth as the goods will extend and the Law bind her and 
To return to the Episcopal Registry a full true and proper
Inventory of the Estate with an accurate account of the 
Acts and proceedings in the _____ when there unto
Lawfully required and o these ends she has given pledges
Namely John Cain and Robert Kinch who have executed
The usual bond in presence of the Court.

Jane Cannell, widow, a legatee named in the last will and Testament 
Of Charles Radcliffe late of Croggain in the parish of Andreas dec'd 
which will bears date the 5th of January 1849, personally appeared at the 
Episcopal Registry and Acknowledged that she had been paid by Cath
Radcliffe the exec of said Will the sum of Twenty pounds sterling being 
the legacy bequeathed her in and by said will. At the same time and place
appeared John Caine Husband of Eliza a legatee in said will also named
and acknowledged that he had rec'd from said Cath Radcliffe the sum 
of Twenty pounds sterling being the amount of the legacy bequeathed his 
said wife in and by said Will and they the said Jane Cannell and John Caine
do hereby severally and respectively exonerate requit and discharge the said
Catherine Radcliffe the Executrix of said Will her heirs exec and admin and 
assigns and the property made.
