      This is declared to be the last Will and Testament
   of me Elizabeth Kinrade wife of Ewan Knrade of
   the Town of Ramsey made declared and published
   this 16th day of September 1848 being of sound
   mind and memory at the making and publishing
   hereof.
First, I commit my Soul to God and my body to
   Christian burial
Secondly, I leave and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth
   Kinrade my right to and interest in that and
   those properties of houses, with the yard extending
   and appurtenances to the same severally belong-
   -ing situate in the Town of Ramsey being
   that and those premises wherein we now
   live lately purchased from Frederick B
   Clucas Esqr and also of that next house by
   us lately built in the sd Town with all rights
   and appurtenances thereto belonging
   To have and to hold the same to her and her Heirs
   and assigns subject nevertheless to the reservation
   or contingency hereinafter mentioned, and I
   also further leave to my sd daughter all my
   goods chattells and effects of every description
   hereby nominating her as Executrix of this my will
   provided nevertheless that in case I happen to
   depart this life before my sd daughter
   attains to the age of fourteen years, I
   nominate and appoint .. James Callow
   of the Town of Ramsey Executor in Trust
   in behalf of my afrs Daughter.
   And in case my afsd daughter happens
   to died before attaining to the age of twenty
   one years without issue and without dis-
   -posing by will or otherwise of the property
   in the Town of Ramsey afsd, in that case I
   hereby (by and with the consent of my
   husband Ewan Kinrade) leave and bequeath
   the whole of my sd real property situate
   in the Town of Ramsey together with the
   whole of my goods chattles and effects
   to my son William Corkan to be possessed
   by him at and upon the decease of
   my husband Ewan Kinrade afsd ....
   I leave the rents issues and profits of
   the afrsd houses and the interest ...
   and enjoy much of all my goods
   and effects during his natural life
   in case he survives my sd daugher Elizabeth.
   In witness hereof I the sd Elizabeth Kinrade
   hereunto subscribe my name as and for
   my last will and testament. The afsd
   Ewan Kinrade as consenting herenuto also
   subscribe my name thereto the day and
   year above written. ... the 16th Septr 1848

                   At an Eccl Court held in Ramsey
                            28th Oct 1853
            &              two of   
John Corlett^Edward Gale & ^Robert Corlett the subscribing witnesses fo the forgoing
paper writing having made oath upon the Holy Evangilists that Elizabeth Kinrade the
executing party thereto when of sound mind duly signed & executed the same in their presence
by appending her mark thereto as and for her last will and testament and James Callow
the executor named therein in and by a certain paper writing dated 6th Oct 1853 signed by
him having renounced the said Executorship in favour of Ewan Kinrade husband
of the said Elizth Kinrade - the said Ewan Kinrade is therefore sworn well and
truly to fulfill and execute the cause according to Law and also to pay all just debts
legacies funeral expenses of the Testaor so far forth as the goods will extend and the
law bind him and also to return to the Archdeacons Registry a true and perfect inventory
of the said istate with an accurate account of his acts & proceedings in the premises
when thereunto lawfully required and to these ends he has given pledges namely
James Murray and Thomas Caley who have executed the ususal bond in the

    The humble petition of Ewan
    Kinreade of the Town of Ramsey
Sheweth
       That some time ago to wit in
    or about the month of February
    1851 your Petrs wife Elizabeth
    Kinreade departed this life having
    first duly made and published
    her last will and testament
    whereof she appointed James Callow
    of the said Town Executor -
    That is is necessary that Probate
    should be granted on the said
    will and in consequence of the 
    sd James callow refusing to
    act in the said capacity renouncing
    the same in favour of you Peter
    who is desirous to be sworn thereunder
       Wherefore you Petr prays
       a hearing hereof and upon
       proof of the due Execution of the
       said will Probate may be
       granted therin and your
       Petnr sworn Executor in due
       form of law and your
       Petnr shall pray

Ordered that this Petition do come on to be
heard at an Eccls Court to be holden in
Ramsey at 10'oclock am on Friday
next 28th inst whereof all proper
parties & persons to have due notice.

Upon hearing this Petition in presence of parties or their Advocates
and upon examination of John Corlett & Edward John and Robert
two of the subscribing witnesses to the will of Elizabeth Kinreade
and upon consideration ..... thereof I am of opinon the due execution
of the said will has been proved and that Probate therof should be
granted is ........ and the cause is therefore herby concluded
adjudged and decreed accordingly.     J.A. Corlett
