In the name of God Amen.
I Isabella Hogg wife of William Hogg of Laxey Glen in the parish of KK
Lonan being sick and weak in body but of sound disposing mind and
memory do make this my last will and testament in manner following:
First I commit my soul to God who gave it and my body to a Christian
burial and as to my worldly effects I dispose of in manner following:
I leave and bequeath to my son Benjamin Hogg four pounds.
I leave and bequeath to my granddaughter Isabella Hogg daughter of my son
Joseph Hogg four pounds and a feather bed and a chaff bed and beddings and a
chest the beds and beddings not to be removed out of the house until after
the decease of my husband said William Hogg.
I leave to my husband William Hogg the whole right and title of all my
property in the dwelling house out offices gardens and all appurtenances
to the same belonging.  He my said husband paying to my said children
(excepting my granddaughter) twenty five pounds to be divided equally
between them after the decease of my said husband provided that in case any
of my children die before the expiration of the aforesaid term of my
husband's natural life that then it shall return to the rest of my
surviving children.
I leave six pence legacy to any person or persons that may claim in this
my will.
Lastly I revoking all other wills heretofore all words on intentions
altered declaring this my last will and testament and nominating and
appointing my well beloved husband  William Hogg whole and sole
executor of all the rest of my goods and chattels moveable and immoveable of
whatever nature and denomination soever as witness my subscription this the
10th day of May 1853.    Isabella Hogg

At a Chapter Court held in Douglas the 14th day of October 1853. William
Hogg sworn executor with pledges James Skillicorn of Ballagawn Lonan
and James Cowle of the Close in Lonan who have executed the usual bond
in presence of the court.
