The Last Will and Testament of Robert Killip of Ballachurry in the parish of 
Andreas being in sound mind and memory at the making hereof.
First: I commit my soul to Almighty God and my Body to Christian burial.
2ndly: I leave to my daughter Esther the sum of Five shillings as legacy.
3rdly: I leave to my daughter Jane the sum of five shillings.
4thly: I leave to my daughter Catherine the sum of five shillings as legacy.
5thly: I leave to my daughter Margaret the sum of five shillings as legacy.
6thly: I leave to my Grandson Robert Christian the sum of four pounds as legacy. The said 
legacy for the said Robert Christian is not to receive until, he arrives at the age of twenty years.
7thly: I leave to any person that may have a lawful claim in this my last will and testament the sum 
of one shilling each as legacy.
Lastly; I leave my daughter-in –law Catherine Killip als Kneale executor of this my last will and 
testament and residuary legatee of all my cash, bonds, notes, chattels and effects. In witness 
hereof I hereunto subscribe my name. This the twenty-fifth day of October one thousand eight 
hundred and fifty –two.   Oct 25th 1852

		At a Chapter Court holden at Ramsey 
		On the 10th day of June 1853.
Philip Corlett and john Radcliffe the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing paper writing 
purporting to be the will of Robert Killip deceased having made oath on the Holy Evangelists 
that said  Robert Killip the Testator when of sound and disposing mind and memory and 
understanding duly signed and executed the same in their presence as and for his last Will and 
Testament. Catherine Killip als Kneale widow the executrix therein named is therefore sworn 
well and truly to fulfill and execute said will according to Law. TO pay all just debts legacies 
and funeral expenses of said Testator so far forth as the goods and effects will extend and the 
Law  bind her. And to return to the Archdeacons Registry a full true and perfect inventory of 
said goods  and effects with an accurate recount of her acts and proceedings in the premises 
when thereunto lawfully required.
And to these ends she hath given pledges namely Thomas Radcliffe of Balla Cleator and John 
Radcliffe of Ballachurry both in the parish of Andreas who have executed the usual bond in the 
presence of the Court.
