At a Chapter Court holden at Castle Town on the 20th day of October 1854.
Thomas Clague of the parish of Kirk Christ Rushen having departed his
life on or about the twentieth day of September last past intestate; and
this court having received intelligence thereof, hath (for the
preservation of the rights of all persons concerned) decreed his three
children namely James Clague, Thomas Clague and Henry Clague co
administrators of all and singular the goods, rights, credits, chattels,
and effects, moveable and immoveable whatever of the said decedent. And Jane
Clague the said intestates widow having declined to
administer, Thomas Turnbull is in trust of the widow and said children
thereupon sworn well and truly to administer the same according to law
to pay all the intestate's just debts and and funeral expenses so far
forth as the goods will extend and the law bind; and return into the
Episcopal Registry a full, true  and perfect  inventory thereof, and an
accurate account of all transactions, touching the same when thereunto
lawfully required.
And to these ends the said Thomas Turnbull hath given pledges in form of
law, namely William Turnbull of Ballagueena and James Clugstone of
Port Iron both in the said parish of Rushen who have executed the usual bond
in the presence of the court.

Received from Thomas Turnbull Administrator of Thomas Clague the sum
of thirty eight pounds fifteen shillings and five pence half penny being
the one half or my distributive share of the personal estate of the said
Thomas Clague this 24th of Sept 1861 Jane Clague widow of Thomas
Clague

Received by me Jane Clague guardian of Jane Clague, Thomas Clague,
Henry Clague and John Clague minors from Thomas Turnbull
administrator of Thomas Clague the sum of thirty eight pounds fifteen
shillings and five pence half penny being nine pounds thirteen shillings
and ten pence each for the said James Clague, Thomas Clague, Henry Clague
and John Clague the same being the distributive share of the personal estate
of the said Thomas Clague to which each of them is entitled as appears by
the foregoing account.

At Castletown the 25th Nov 1861
John Thomas Clucas Esquire the subscribing witness to the creation of
the two before written receipts (and also is personally known to
me) made oath that the said receipts are duly created by Jane Clague the
creating party thereto in presence of the deponent .
