64 Ballaugh
The humble petition of Jane Taubman of parish of Ballaugh
Sheweth: That your petitioners mother Mary Taubman departed this life some
short time ago having first duly made and published her last will
and testament whereof she appointed your petitioner executrix and residuary
legatee.
That it is necessary that the said will should be duly proved and your
petitioner sworn executrix thereunder.
Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing hereof and that upon proof of the
due execution of the said will your petition maybe sworn as
executrix of the said will of the said Mary Taubman and your petitioner
shall pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at an o¹clock whereof
all proper parties and persons to have due notice.

Upon hearing this petition in presence of the parties and their advocates
and upon examination of Robert Taubman one of the subscribing witness
to the last will and testament of Mary Taubman deceased I am of opinion that
the due execution of the said will has been proved and that probate thereof
should be granted as prayed for and the same therefore here.

I do hereby certify that by virtue of the authority of Vicar Genl Corlett I
have charged John C Stephen Esq and Ann his wife being of the parish of
Ballaugh to appear at an Ecclesiastical Court to be holden at Ramsey on
Friday as next of kin of Mary Taubman deceased to answer the suit and
petition of Jane Taubman the petitioner this the 18th day of December 1855

In the name of God Amen
I Mary Taubman widow of the late Henry Taubman of the parish of
Ballaugh being of a sound disposing mind memory and understanding but
considering the uncertainty of the life do make declare and publish this
my last will and testament in the following manner and form viz.
First I commend my soul to God and my body to a Christian burial.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Taubman my large kitchen looking
glass and my clock as legacy.
I leave and bequeath unto any person or persons who may be lawfully entitled
to participate in any part of my goods and effects and not herein provided
for the sum of two shillings and six pence each as legacy.
Lastly I nominate constitute ordain and appoint my daughter Jane
Taubman whole and sole executrix of this my last will and testament and
residuary legatee of all and singular the rest and remainder of all my
goods, and effects and of my personal estate of all descriptions whatsoever
or wheresoever.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this the thirteenth
day of July 1850.
