The humble petition of Edward Philip Kerruish of the town of Ramsey Sheweth
that Margaret Kerruish late of Cardlevoar in the parish of Maughold your
petitioner's mother departed this life to wit on the 16th of January last
past but first duly made and published her last will and testament and
thereof appointed your petitioner executor and it is necessary that probate
of the said will should be granted and your petitioner sworn executor
thereunder.  Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing hereof and for
probate of the will of the said Margaret Kerruish and that petitioner be
sworn executor thereunder and he will pray.       F LaMothe

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a court to be holden at
Ramsey on Friday next the 12th instant whereof all parties are to
have due notice.

Edward Philip Kerruish sworn executor with pledges being Danl Callow
and Thomas Corkill

In the name of God Amen.
I Margaret Kerruish late of Cardel Voar in the parish of Maughold but now of
the town of Ramsey being of sound and disposing mind memory and
understanding do make this my last deed will and testament in manner
following:
I commend my soul unto Almighty God and my body to decent Christian burial.
First I leave and bequeath to my son Thomas the sum of five shillings
together with whatever articles of furniture and goods I have left at Cardel
Voar house and farm as legacy.
Secondly I leave and bequeath to my son John Robert the sum of twenty pounds
as legacy.
Thirdly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth the sum of ten pounds
as legacy.
Fourthly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Margaret the sum of ten pounds
as legacy.
Fifthly I leave and bequeath to my daughter Jane the sum of ten pounds
as legacy.  And I leave to my three daughters before mentioned all my
wearing apparel equally between them.
I leave and bequeath to my granddaughters Margaret and Isabella Kermeen the
sum of five pounds each to be paid them upon their attaining the age of
twenty one years and if either of my said granddaughters happen to
die before attaining that age the legacy of such deceased granddaughter to
be paid to the survivor.
I leave and bequeath to my son Edward Phillip Kerruish the whole of my goods
and chattels right and credits and nominate constitute and appoint him the
said Edward Phillip Kerruish whole and sole executor of this my
last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any
time heretofore made and declaring this to be my last will and
testament.  In testimony whereof I have unto subscribed  my name this Ninth
day of March One thousand eight hundred and fifty four.
