Malew 1860 No 20 In the name of God Amen The sixteenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five. We jointly William and Margaret Mylchreest of Cross Four Ways in the parish of Kirk Malew being through the blessing of God in a sound state of mind and memory but calling to mind the frail tenure of this life and that it is appointed to all men once to die. Do make and ordain this our last will and testament, that is to say, we give bequeath and dispose of the property to which we are and may become entitled in the manner and proportions here following: First we give and bequeath to our daughter Catherine the sum of twenty pounds lawfully money to be paid by the survivor one month after the death of whosoever of us may die first. Likewise we give and bequeath to the said Cathrine our daughter the whole of her motheršs apparel. Likewise we do jointly give and bequeath the whole of our goods, chattels, and effects or whatsoever may belong to us to the longer liver. Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be our last will and testament. In witnesses whereof we have hereunto set our hand this the sixteenth of July one thousand eight hundred and forty five. A. Corlett Catharine Mylchreest spinster received £20 and also the wearing apparel of her mother.
