The humble petition of John Thomas Craine and William Craine and
Ellenor Christian Caine of BroughJiarg Moar in the parish of Ballaugh.
Sheweth:  That petitioners late father Captain John Craine of
Broughjiarg Moar and formerly of Ballacrosha in the parish of Ballaugh
lately departed this life having first duly made his last will and
testament in writing whereof he appointed his wife Ann Craine sole
executrix.
That petitioners are desirous that probate of the said will be forthwith
granted to the said executrix or otherwise that administration with the said
will annexed be granted to some fit and proper person.
Wherefore petitioner humbly pray a hearing hereof and that probate of
the said will may be granted as aforesaid or that such other order may
be made in the premises as may be considered right and advisable and
petitioner will pray

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard before me at an Eccl Court
to be holden at KK Michael on Thursday next whereof all proper parties are
to have due notice.

In the name of God Amen.   I John Craine of Ballacrosha in the parish of
Ballaugh being of sound disposing mind memory and understanding but
considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make declare and
publish this my last will and testament in manner following.
First I leave and bequeath to my son John Craine his heirs and assigns
Croit e Crow of the Quarterland of Ballacrosha situated in the parish of
Ballaugh and also a Meadow situate in the parish of Lezayre called
Cabbagh as legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my son William Craine his heirs and assigns a
certain parcel of land situate in the parish of Ballaugh called the "Garey
Meen" being part of the quarterland of the Dollagh Beg as legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my son Thomas Craine his heirs and assigns Faaie
Leesey Close and Cronk Glass and two fields called Cooil Chrink, Croit
Ralph and the whole of the lands outside or the shore side of the Bolley
en Jargey(Bollagh Jiarg) Road with the houses thereon erected.  He the said
Thomas Craine his heirs and assigns to pay five hundred pounds of
the mortgage secured in the said property and also to pay two hundred pounds
to Ellinor Christian Craine when he possesses the said premises being part
of the quarterland of Brough Jairg Moar in the parish of
Ballaugh as legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my son Robert Craine his heirs and assigns my whole
right and title to the remainder of the estate of Brough Jiarg Ballaterson
the whole being situate in the parish of Ballaugh he the said Robert Craine
his heirs and assigns paying five hundred pounds of the mortgage secured in
the said property and also paying two hundred
pounds Sterling to his sister Ann Craine when he possess the said premises
and I also leave him Croit Sayle being intact land situate in the said
parish of Ballaugh as legacy.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my beloved wife Ann Craine
whole and sole executrix of this my last will and testament and
residuary legatee of all the remainder of my goods, cash, credit and effects
moveable and immovable whatsoever, who is to have the issues and profits of
their respective legacies until  they become of age
providing she continue in my name, but if otherwise they are to be at
liberty to choose guardians for themselves.  In testimony whereof I here
unto subscribe my name this the 23rd day of January 1856.

At a Chapter Court held in Kirk Michael the 30th day of October 1862.
Ann Craine renounced executorship of the will and John Killip of Ballabeg
appointed administrator of the estate
Will proved KM 30th October 1862.

Ann Craine intermarried with James Thomas Corlett of Coralle in the
parish of Ballaugh and she died and her husband James Thomas Corlett
was sworn administrator of the estate of Ann Corlett otherwise Craine
John Gelling rec'd £200  29 Mar 1873 before leaving for America his
dead wife's share.
