Lonan 1862 106 In the name of God Amen. I Isabella Killip otherwise Moore near Laxey in the parish of KK Lonan being of sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament in the manner following: First I commit my soul to God and my body to a decent Christian burial as for my worldly effects I dispose of them in manner following: Item I leave and bequeath unto four of my daughter viz Margaret, Jane, Isabella, and Sophia one shilling each. Lastly I nominate and appoint my son in law John Clague my whole and sole executor of all my goods and effects whether movable or immoveable and I revoke all former wills ratifying and confirming this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my mark to my name this the 10th day of September 1862. Isabella Killip X mark Pronounced and signed in presence of John Killip Daniel Kermode Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese hath this day granted probate of the last will and testament of Isabella Killip deceased to John Clague And whereas Robert Clague of Ballaquark in the parish of Lonan and William Mylrea of Laxey in the parish of Lonan have agreed to become pledges for the said John Clague for the due administration of the said Estate according to law. Therefore know all men by these Presents, that we, the said Robert Clague and William Mylrea hereby bind and oblige ourselves and our Executors and Administrators, as pledges for the said John Clague for the due and faithful administration of the goods and effects of the said deceased according to law. And in his default we bind ourselves and our Executors and Administrators to be answerable to all parties interested in the said Estate, or the Administration thereof. Witness our subscriptions this 24th day of October 1862. At a Chapter Court held at Douglas the 24th day of October 1862. William Mylrea and Robert Clague Taken before me R. Jebb At a Chapter Court held in Douglas the 24th day of October 1862. John Killip and Daniel Kermode the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Isabella Killip the Testatrix having made oath on the Holy Evangelists that the testatrix whereof sound mind memory and understanding duly executed the same in their presence the said paper writing having first been duly read to the testatrix John Clague the executor in the said will named is therefore sworn well and truly to fulfil and execute the said will according to law to pay all just debts legacies and funeral expenses of the testatrix so far forth as her goods and effects will extend and the law bind him and to return a true and perfect inventory of the same with an accurate account of his acts and proceedings in the premises to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese when thereunto lawfully required and to these ends he hath given pledges namely Robert Clague of Ballaquark in Lonan and William Mylrea of Laxey in Lonan who have entered into and executed the usual bond in the presence of the court.
