At a Chapter Court held at Kirk Michael on the 30th day of October 1862. It
being proved that John Quayle of the parish of Kirk Michael on or about the
22 Sep 1862, departed this life intestate, this court being satisfied
thereof, hath decreed Robert Cretney of the town of Douglas Grocer
administrator of all and singular the personal estate and effects of said
deceased, and accordingly he is sworn well and truly to administer the
said estate and effects of the said deceased by paying the just debts and
funeral expenses of the deceased so far forth as the said estate and effects
will extend and the law bind him and distributing the residue thereof
according to law, and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a
full, true, and perfect inventory thereof, with an accurate account of his
acts and proceedings in the premises when thereunto lawfully required and to
these ends he hath given pledges, namely, John Quayle of Michael Village in
the parish of Kirk Michael and Thomas Mylcharaine of Ballamoar in the parish
of Ballaugh, who have entered
into and executed the usual bond in presence of the court.
