At a Chapter Court held in Ramsy on the 30th day of October 1863. It being
proved that Jane Taubman of the Parish of Ballaugh departed this life
Intestate, this Court hath Decreed John Killip of Ballabeg in the said
parish of Ballaugh Administrator of All and Singular the personal Estate and
Effects of said deceased, and accordingly he is sworn well and truly
to administer the said Estate and Effects of the said deceased by paying her
just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as the said Estate and Effects
will extend and the Law bind him and distributing the residue thereof
according to Law, and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a
full, true, and perfect Inventory thereof, with an accurate account of his
acts and proceedings in the premises when thereunto lawfully required; and
to these ends he hath given pledges namely James Thomas Taubman of the
Village in the Parish of Ballaugh and Daniel
Craine of the Carlane in the Parish of Ballaugh, who have entered into
and executed the usual Bond in the presence of the Court.
Decretum Est R. Jebb
Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Diocese hath this day granted
administration of the estate of Jane Taubman of Ballaugh deceased, to John
Killip of the Ballabeg in said parish.
And Whereas James Thomas Taubman of Ballaugh Village in the Parish of
Ballaugh and Daniel Craine of Carlane in the Parish of Ballaugh have
agreed to become pledges for the said John Killip for the due
administration of the said Estate according to law. Therefore know all
men by these presents, that we, the said James Thomas Taubman and Daniel
Craine hereby bind and oblige ourselves and our Executors and
Administrators, as pledges for the said John Killip for the due and
faithful administration of the goods and effects of the said deceased
according to law. And in his default we bind ourselves and our Executors
and Administrators to be answerable to all parties interested in the said
Estate, or the Administration thereof.
Witness our subscriptions this 30th day of October 1863
