The humble petition of John Joughin of the Parish of Bride
Sheweth:
That Margaret Kaighin late of the parish of Jurby deceased, Mother of this
petitioner’s Wife departed this life in or about the month of March 1858 Intestate
That it is necessary that Administration should be granted of the Estate and
Effects of the Said Margt Kaighin deceased.
Wherefore petr. Prays a hearing hereof and that Said Worship may be pleased
to appoint and swear petitioner or some other fit and proper person administrator
of the Estate of the Said Margaret Kaighin deceased and he will pray […]

Ordered that this petitioner do come on to be heard at a Vicar General’s Court
to be holden at Ramsey the 10th day of July 1863 whereof all proper parties and
parties are to have due notice

At an Ecclesiastical Court held at Ramsey on the 10th day of July 1863
it being proved that Margaret Kaighan of the Parish of Jurby having departed this life
Intestate, this Court Hath Decreed John Joughin of Ballacrebbin in Andreas administrator
of All and Singular the personal Estate and Effects of said deceased and accordingly
he is sworn well and truly to administer the said Estate and Effects of the said deceased
by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as the said Estate and Effects
will extend and the Law bind him and distributing the residue thereof according to Law,
and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a full, true and perfect Inventory
lawfully required; and to those ends he hat given pledges namely, William Christian of
Ballacoreg in the Parish of Andreas and John Corkill of the Allan in the Parish of Jurby,
who have entered into and executed the usual Bond and duly acknowledged the same
before Frederick […] Esq the High Bailiff of Ramsey.

hereby Consent and agree that John Joughin of the parish of Andreas being Sworn Administrator
of the Estate of the said Margaret Kaighan
