In the name of God Amen.
I Frances Mathews of Glen Moar in the parish of German being of sound mind
memory and understanding at the making and executing hereof do make and
publish this paper writing as and for my last will and
testament.
I leave and bequeath unto my wife Emily Eunice Corlett the whole of my
household furniture, plate, linnen and wines in my dwelling house at
GlenMoar with my farming stock, crop, and implements on the said
estate as legacy.
I leave the plate, which belonged to my father, to my wife for life and
upon her decease to descend to my heir at law as in heirloom.
I leave and bequeath unto each of my children the sum of two hundred pounds
as legacy the amount to be paid to my sons as they attain the age of twenty
one years and to my daughters upon the decease of their mother or upon their
days of marriage.
And as to the rest residue and remainder of all my property and effects both
real and personal whatseover and wheresoever the same may be I leave devise
and bequeath the same unto James Spittal of Douglas Advocate upon trust to
convert the same into cash and  interest the same upon security of real
property and pay over the interest arising there from unto my wife for and
during the term of her  natural life and upon
her decease to divide the proceeds equally between my surviving
children save and except the heir at law who will  then become entitled
to certian real property and I hereby declare that the said James Spittall
shall not be bound to dispose of all or any of my shares in the Public
Companies but shall use his own discretion in the disposal of the same
unless requested to sell the same by my wife.
I nominate and appoint the said James Spittall executor of this my will
hereby revoking all former wills or will by me at any time heretofore
made.  In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this
twenty sixth day of January one thousand eight hundred and sixty four.
