The humble petition of Maria Radcliffe of Ramsey
Sheweth That Allen Radcliffe your petitioner's husband lately departed
this life intestate leaving your petitioner and an infant child him
surviving.
That it is expedient that Letters of Administration of this said estate
should be granted.
Wherefore your petr prays a hearing hereof and that your Lordship will
be pleased to approve  and swear your petr administratrix of the said estate
in the usual form and also approve your petitioner guardian over the said
minor and your pet will pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be holden at a Special
Ecclesiastical Court to be holden at Bishops Court on Tuesday the 12th next
at the  hour of 11:30 o¹clock in the forenoon whereof all proper parties are
to have due notice
Given at Bishops Court this 9 July 184 Moore

Whereas the Eccl Court of this Diocese hath this granted administration
of the estate of Allen Radcliffe of Ramsey deceased to Maria Radcliffe
his widow.
And whereas Richard Hamlyn of Douglas in the parish of Braddan and Frederick
Radcliffe of Andreas Village in the parish of Andreas have agreed to become
pledges for the said Maria Radcliffe for the due administration of the said
Estate according to law.
Therefore know all men by these presents, that we, the said Richard Hamlyn
and Frederick Radcliffe hereby bind and oblige ourselves and our Executors
and administrators, as pledges for the said Maria Radcliffe for the due and
faithful administration of the goods and effects of the said deceased
according to law.  And in her default we bind ourselves and our Executors
and Administrators to be answerable to all parties interest in the said
estate or the administration thereof.
Witness our subscription this twelfth day of July 1864.

At a Special Eccl Court held at 
Bishops Court on the 12th day 
of July 1864.  
It appearing that Allen Radcliffe of Ramsey in the
parish of Maughold Grocer on or about the 6th day of 
July instant departed this life intestate
this court hath decreed Maria Radcliffe his widow
administratrix of all and singular the personal estate and effects of said
deceased, and accordingly she is sworn well and truly to administer the said
Estate and effects of the said decease by paying his just debts and funeral
expenses so far forth as the said estate and effects will extend and the Law
bind her and distributing the residue thereof according to
Law, and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a full, true,
and perfect inventory thereof, with an accurate account of her acts and
proceedings in the premises when thereunto lawfully required; and to
these ends she hath given pledges namely Richard Hamlyn of Douglas in
the parish of Braddan and Frederick Radcliffe Andreas Village in the
parish of Andreas, who have entered into and executed the usual bond in
presence of the court.
