In the name of God Amen
I Robert Cowin of Ballacregga in the parish of Santan being of sound
mind, memory and understanding do make publish and declare this to be
my last will and testament in way and manner following.
First I commend my soul to Almighty God and my body to a Christian
burial.
Second I leave and bequeath to my son Robert the sum of ten pounds. Third I
leave and bequeath to my daughter Ann wife of Joseph Dickinson the sum of
fifteen pounds.
Fourth I leave and bequeath to my son Daniel the sum of fifteen pounds.
Fifth I leave and bequeath to my son Thomas the sum of five pounds.
Sixth I leave and bequeath to my daughter Catharine wife of William
Roney the sum of twenty-five pounds.
Seventh I leave and bequeath to my granddaughter Esther daughter of
Christopher Kinnish the sum of one pound to be paid by my executor at what
time and manner he chooses.
Eighth I leave and bequeath to my granddaughter Ann daughter of the said
Christopher Kinnish the sum of two pounds to be paid in like manner as
Esther.
Ninth I leave and bequeath to my grandson Robert, son of the said
Christopher Kinnish the sum of one pound to be paid in the same manner
as his sisters.
Tenth I leave and bequeath that the whole of any part of the aforesaid
legacies is not to be paid into the hands of any person or my executors to
be subject to an arrest for the same, but is to be paid into the hands of my
sons and daughters
Lastly I nominate, constitute, and appoint my son John my whole and sole
executor of all my moneys goods and effects of what nature soever as witness
my name or mark this sixth day of October one thousand eight hundred and

At a Chapter Court held in Castletown on the 19th day of May 1865.
John Cowin sworn executor with pledges being Cleave Kinley and Thomas
Bridson both of Santan who entered into and executed the usual bond in the
