The humble petition of Robert Cowley of Sulby and Jane Cowley his wife.
Sheweth:  That sometime ago Ann Margaret Kewin late of the parish of Andreas
widow and sister of your petitioner departed this life intestate leaving her
three children Mary Ann Kewin, John James Kewin and Sophia Margaret Kewin
all under the age of twenty one years her surviving.
That it is necessary that administration of the estate of the said deceased
should be granted to some fit and proper person.
Wherefore petrs pray a hearing hereof and that your Worship may be pleased
to grant administration of the estate of the said deceased to
your petitioner Robert Cowley or some other fit and proper person and
petitioners will pray.   Alfred N. Adams for petrs
Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at an Eccl Court to be
held in Douglas on Friday next whereof all parties are to have due notice.

Conditions of Sale of the farm stock crops implements, household
furniture and effects late the property of Ann Margaret Kewin deceased to be
sold by auction by order of the administrator Mr Robert Cowley this the 18th
day of July 1865.
The highest bidder to be the purchaser and if any disputes arise between
bidder the lot to be put up again and resold.
The lot to be taken with all defects and every of description and to be at
the risk of the respective purchaser from the fall of the hammer.
Four months credit will be given on the stock, implements and furniture and
six months on the growing crops and sums of three pounds on approved joint
promissory notes being passed therefor made payable to the order of Mr
Robert Cowley at the Ramsey Branch of the Bank of Mona, purchases under
three pounds to be cash and  no goods are allowed to be taken away form the
premises until payment to be made for the same or
a promissory note be passed for the amount.
All lots purchased at the sale are required to be removed off the
premises the day subsequent to the auction viz Thursday next - on
which day attendance will be given on the premises for purpose of
arranging accounts and delivering goods.  Any lots remaining on the premises
later than Thursday next unpaid or unsettled will be subject to
be resold, and the deficiency if any attending such resale will have to be
made good by the party or parties in default.  J. Bridson.
