The humble petition of Ann Leece of the parish of Marown widow.
Sheweth: That William Leece your petitioneršs husband sometimes since
departed this life intestate and your petitioner is desirous to obtain
administration of his estate and effects in this diocese.
Wherefore petitioner humbly prays a hearing of this petition and that
your Worship may be pleased to grant administration of the estate and
effects of the said William Leece to petitioner and she will pray.

Whereas, the Eccl Court of the Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this
day granted administration of the estate of William Leece late of
the parish of Marown deceased to Ann Leece.
And whereas John Leece of the parish of Marown and Robert Leece of Marown
have agreed to become pledges for the due and faithful administration of the
said Estate by the said Ann Leece according to law. Now, Know all men by
these present, that we, the said John Leece and Robert Leece hereby bind and
oblige ourselves jointly and severally, and
our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, firmly by these presents, as
pledges for the said Ann Leece that she shall well and truly administer,
all and singular, the personal estate and effects of the said deceased
according to law. And in her default we bind ourselves, and each of us,
for the whole, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators to be answerable and
responsible to the said Court, and to all parties interested in the
said estate and effects or the administration thereof in the place and stead
of the said Ann Leece.
Witness our subscription this 30 November in Year of Our Lord, One Thousand
Eight Hundred and Sixty Five.

At an Eccl Court held in Douglas on the 30 day of November 1865.
Upon hearing this petition in the presence of the parties or their
advocates, and it appearing that William Leece of the parish of Marown
on or about the 24th January 1865, departed this life intestate, this
court hath decreed Ann Leece the petitioner administratrix of all and
singular the personal estate and effects of said decease, and accordingly
she is sworn well and truly to administer the said estate and effects of the
said deceased by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as
the said estate and effects will extend and law bind her and in distributing
the residue thereof according to Law, and to return to the Episcopal
Registry of this Diocese a full, true, and perfect inventory thereof, with
an accurate account of her acts and proceeding in the premises when
thereunto lawfully required; and to these ends she hath given pledges,
namely, Robert Leece of Marown and John Leece of Marown who have entered
into and executed the usual bond in presence of the
court.
