		In the Name of God Amen
I Richard Knowles of the Parrish of KK Lonan 
taking into consideration the uncertainty of this 
transitory life and the certainty of death do here 
make this my last Will and Testament
First I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty 
God who gave it and my body I recommend to 
the earth to be intered by a decent Christian burial 
according to the discretion of my Executor or Executrix  
And as touching my worldly goods and effects I dispose 
of them in the following manner  
I leave and bequeath to my beloved son Richard 
Knowles the sum of five shillings  
Also I leave and bequeath to my beloved daughter 
Margaret wife of Daniel Teare the sum of five pounds  
Also I leave and bequeath to my beloved son
John Knowles the sum of five pounds  
Also I leave and bequeath to my beloved 
daughter Mary Ann Knowles the sum of five pounds
Also I leave and bequeath to my beloved 
daughter Jane Knowles the sum of five pounds  
Also I leave and bequeath to my beloved 
daughter Matilda Knowles the sum of five pounds  
Also I leave and bequeath to my beloved 
daughter Sarah Knowles the sum of five pounds 
Also I leave and bequeath to my beloved 
daughter Agnes Knowles the sum of five pounds 
Also I leave and bequeath to my beloved 
son William Knowles the sum of five pounds  
And I leave the remainder of my goods and 
effects to my beloved wife Ann Knowles (alias Quayle) 
But if she the said Ann Knowles my beloved wife 
marries another man after my decease then she 
will deprive herself of having any of my goods and 
effects. Lastly I appoint constitute and ordain my 
beloved wife Ann Knowles (alias Quayle) to be sole 
Executrix of this my last Will and Testament  
And I do hereby disallow revoke and disannul 
all former Wills Testaments or bequests by me 
made or uttered declaring this and no other to be 
my last Will and Testament in witness where
of I set to my name this the eleventh day of 
March in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and sixty five        		Richard Knowles
