This Testefieth to be the last will and Testament of John Caine of Rheyn Sheant
in the parish of Malew farmer who being of sound mind memory understanding and judgement
at the making hereof and calling to mind the uncertainty of human
life do will and dispose of his worldly goods and effects in the following
manner.

First I commend my soul to God who gave it and my body to Christian burial.

Secondly I leave and bequeath unto all my children that will survive me the sum
of five shillings each as legacy.

Thirdly I Leave and bequeath unto my wife Anne Caine the use of all my goods
chattels and effects of every kind and description to be enjoyed by her during
her natural lifetime and at her death the same to become the property and right
of my son Thomas Caine.  Likewise if she, my said wife, should intermarry in
that case she is to forfeit all right to the use of the said goods, chattels
and effects and the same to become the sole right of my son Thomas Caine and
his heirs and ........[admons]

Fourthly I leave and bequeath unto any person or persons that will claim to my
will the sum of sixpence legacy.

Lastly I nominate Constitute and appoint my beloved wife Ann Cain whole and
sole executrix of this my last will and testament who is to pay all my just
debts and funeral expenses

hereby revoking and setting aside all former wills made by me.  As witness my name
this the day of One thousand eight hundred and sixty three.

presence of us witnesses

At a Chapter Court held at Castletown The 19th day of October 1866

John Kneale one of the witnesses to the ........paper writing ...... when the
last will and testament of John Cain late of Renshalt in the parish of Malew,
made unto us the Holy Evangelist that John Cain the testator who of sound mind
memory and understanding duly signed his name on and for his last will and
testament in his presence and in the presence of James Kneale the other witness
.......  who is unable to attend this Court. ...... it appearing that Ann Cain
the executrix in the law whilst married died in the lifetime of the Testator.
Thomas Cain son of the testator and Presiding Legate named in his will is
therefore sworn well and truly to administrate the estates and effects of the
testator with his ........accepted by paying the just debts and funeral
expenses of the Testator and the Legacy ........ as his wish so far forth as
his goods are sufficient with ........and the law .....[shall bind] and to return a full
true and perfect infantry [inventory] of the said estate's worth in accurate accounts of
the act and proceeding in the .......     ......... ......... ........  ......
when accounts lawfully acquired and to these ends ..........[hath given pledges] William Mylchrest
and William Collett both of this parish of Malew who have ....... with a new
 ...... Bond written presence of this court.
