This is the Last Will & Testament of me Thomas Kay of Balla Lonney in the parish of Patrick made
this seventeenth day of March One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Seven.
I leave and bequeath to my Son Thomas Kay Jnr. The sum of one shilling as a Legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my Daughter Leonora wife of John Caine the sum of one pound as a
Legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my Daughter Anne the wife of Evan Gell the sum of one pound as a
Legacy.
I give and devise to my Son Henry Kay all and singular those parcels of land situate in the parish of
Patrick called and known by the names of "Shled-Eary-Kelly" and "Croit-veg-E-Kelly" being part
of the Quarterland of the Cronk moar and which parcels were acquired by purchase by me ToHold
unto the said Henry Kay his Heirs and Assigns from the day of my decease for ever.
I leave and bequeath to my said Son Henry Kay the whole of my personal estate.
And Nominate Constitute and Appoint thus Henry Kay whole Executor of this my Will.
In Testimony whereof I the said Thomas Kaye have hereunto subscribed by name the day month
and year before written.
Signed declared and published by the Testator Thomas Kay as and for his Last Will and Testament
in our presence which at his request have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

Diocese of Sodar and Mann. At a chapter Court held at Peel on the 9th November 1866. Evan
Quirk and Robert John Moore the witnesses to the foregoing paper writing purporting to be the Last
Will and Testament of Thomas Kay the Testator that made oath in the Holy Evangelists that the
Testator when of sound mind memory and understanding duly signed the same as and for his last
Will and Testament in their presence Henry Kay the Executor in the Last Will named is therefore
sworn well and truly to fulfill and execute the same according to Law by paying the just debts and
personal effects of the Testator, and the legacies contained in his Will as far forth the goods and
effects will extend and the Law bind him to return a full true and perfect inventory of the Testators
estate and effects with an accurate account of his acts and proceedings in the promise to the
Episcopal Registry of the Diocese where hereunto lawfully required and to these ends he hath
sworn pledges namely William Quayle and John Kissack both of the Parish of German who have
entered into the usual Bond in the presence of the Court.
