In the name of God, Amen   
I Edward Hogg of the parish of 
Lonan being weak in body but   
of a sound disposing mind memory 
and judgement at the making hereof 
do make this my last will and 
testament 
Firstly I commend my soul to 
God who gave it and my body 
to a Christian burial-- 
Item. I leave and bequeath unto my  
my (sic) daughter Anne Jane Hogg the 
sum of five shillings 
I leave and bequeath unto my  
nephew William Hogg the sum of two shillings 
I leave and bequeath unto my wife 
Ann Hogg all my right title and 
interest unto that moiety of that
parcel of land called and known 
by the name of [Ardwhillagh] 
in the Parish of Lonan also a moiety  
of a parcel of land called Thalloo- 
Christy Corkill being intack situate  
in Lonan likewise a moiety of the plot 
and known by the name of the 
Craggan which was purchased from 
Daniel Cannan to her own use as long 
as she remain in my name. But if 
she intermarry then the same to become 
the property of my daughter Ann Jane 
but my wife Ann Hogg [hold] with the  
same as she will see proper without any control

Lastly I nominate and appoint my 
brother John Hogg and my wife Ann 
Hogg  joint executors and residuary 
legatees of all the rest of my goods 
chattels and effects of every kind or  
nature that can be named and this I 
testify to be my last Will and Testament. 
In witness of my name this the thirteenth  
of December one thousand eight hun- 
dred and sixty five.
