Elizabeth Kaneen, 1866

Wheras, The Ecclesiastical Courtof the Isle and Diocese of Sador and Mann 
hath this day granted probate of the will of Elizabeth Kaneen late of the 
Parish of German deceased, to Evan John Jamess Gell Junior as admor with will annulled

And Whereas William Quages of Ballaguane in the Parish of German and John 
Cannan of in Village in the Parish of Meleaw have agreed to become Pledges 
for the due and faithful Administration of the said Estate by the said John 
James Gell Junior according to Law.

Now, Unto all Men by these Presents, that we, the said William Quages and 
John Cannan hereby bind and oblige ourselves jointly and severally, and our 
Heirs, Executors, and Administrators firmly by these presents, as pledges 
for the said Evan Gell Junior that he shall well and truly administer, all 
and singular, the Personal Estate and Effects of the said deceased according 
to Law.  
And in his default we bind ourselves, and each of us, for the whole, our 
Heirs, Executors, and Administrators to be answerable and responsible to 
the said Court and to all Parties interested in the said Estate and Effects, 
or the administration thereof in the place and stead of the said Evan John 
James Gell Junior.

Witness our Subscriptions, this 9 day November, in the Year of our Lord, 
One Thousand Eight Hundred and sixty six.

I Elizabeth Kanneen Wife of Daniel Kanneen of Lairey of Andres do 
revoking all former wills and Testaments heretofore made by me
Make this my last will and testament in manner following.
First I leave my soul to god and my body to a Christian Burial
Second I leave Devise and Bequeath to John Bell of Douglas and 
Hough Bell garder of Kirk Braddan Nephews one half of my property 
moveable of immoveable or whatsoever nature or kind or wheresoever 
situate and to their heirs for ever
Third I leave Device and Bequeath to my other Four Nephews Namely
Thomas Bell Ballavarkish and Elizabeth Mylechreist Wife of Thomas 
Mylechrist of German and James Bell of German and Robert Bell of 
sid parish Likewise Evan Gill son of Evan Gill Esqr White House KK 
Michael the other Half to be Equaly Divided Moveable or immoveable 
as the case may happen,
Fourth I leave all parties who may have a claim against this my last 
will one Shilling each as Legacy I now Nominate Constitute and appoint 
Evan Gill Esq Whitehouse KK Michael to be Sole Executor to this my 
last will and Testament as Wittness my hand this the first day of 
November eighteen Hundred and Sixty 1860.
