In the Name of 
God Amen I William Killey 
of the town of Peel (tailor) being of sound
disposing mind memory and understanding
but considering the uncertainty of this mortal life
Do make this my last Will and Testament 
in manner and form following
I commit my Soul to God and my Body
decent Christian burial
I leave and Bequeath to my Brother John 
Killey the sum of five shillings
I leave and Bequeath to my Brother James
Killey all and singular my Dwelling 
House situate in Douglas Street in the foresaid
town of Peel commonly called William Gawnes
house which I lately purchased from W Henry 
Graves Timber Merchant and W Thomas Cottier
Draper both of the town of Peel with all
ways waters Watercourses and Liberties to 
the same belonging or usually held and
adjoining the rent of Charles Killey on the East
and South to the rent of Thomas Karran
on the West and to the Main Street on the north?
I leave and Bequeath to my said Brother James
Killey all and singular my two shares which I
have and hold in the Peel Gas Light Company 
I leave and Bequeath to my said Brother James 
Killey all and singular my one eight share of the
Luggar Venus of Peel with my share of the small 
Boat and materials belonging to the said Luggar aforesaid
I leave and Bequeath to my said Brother James
Killey all and singular my one Fourth share
of the Luggar Subra of Peel with my share of the small
 Boat and Materials belonging to the said Luggar aforesaid
I leave and Bequeath to my said Brother James
Killey all and singular all my Fishing Nets
Corks and all materials to the same belonging
I leave and Bequeath to my sister Eleanor 
Turton alias Killey the sum of five shillings
I leave and Bequeath to my Brother Cesar Killey
The sum of five shillings
I leave and Bequeath to my Brother Charles
Killey the sum of five shillings
I leave and Bequeath to my Brother Joseph
Killey the sum of five shillings. 
 And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint 
my aforesaid Brother James Killey whole and sole
Executor and Residuary Legatee of this my last
 Will and Testament in testimony whereof I the 
said William Killey have herewith subscribed 
my name or mark to my name this the
Twenty fourth of January one thousand eight
hundred and fifty nine  janr 24 1859

request in his presence and in 
the presence of each other have put
our names hereto as Witnesses

                              At a Chapter Court held in Peel on the 
                               24th day of April 1866
John  Morrison one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing 
deceased having made oath upon the Holy Evangelists that
said William Killey the testator when of sound and 
disposing mind memory and understanding duly signed 
and executed the same as and for his last Will and
Testament in presence of this deponent and of Thomas
de Bentley the other subscribed witness thereto
and James Killey the Executor in said Will and appointed his wife
Catherine Killey Executrix thereof who by Instrument 
in writing of this same date and herewith recorded requested 
Administration with the Will annexed of said William 
Killey to be granted and committed to her son James
Killey for her benefit Administration (with the said
Will annexed) of all and singular the personal estate and 
effects of the said William Killey deceased is therefore
granted and committed unto him the said James Killey
and he is thereupon sworn to perform the Will in accordance
with the intentions of the Testator and to administer all
and singular the personal estate and effects of the said 
deceased according to law by paying the just debts
and Funeral expenses of the said decease and the 
legacies contained in his Will so far forth as his Goods
and effects will thereto extend and the law bind him
and also to return unto the Archdeason’s Registry a full
true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the
said estate and Effects with an accurate account
of his Administration thereof when thereunto lawfully
required and of these ends he hath given pledges
namely John Teare and John Morrison who
have entered unto and executed the usual Bond
in the presence of the Court
