At an Eccl Court held in Douglas on the 28th day of March 1867.
Upon hearing the petition in the presence of the parties or their advocates,
and it appearing that Eliza Bridson of Douglas in the parish of Braddan,
widow, some time ago departed this life intestate, this court hath decreed
Elizabeth Creer of the town of Douglas widow administratrix of all and
singular the personal estate and effects of said deceased, and accordingly
she is sworn well and truly to administer the said Estate and Effects of the
said deceased by paying her just debts and funeral expences so far forth as
the said Estate and Effects will extend and the law bind her and
distributing the reside thereof according to Law, and to return to the
Episcopal Registry of this diocese a full, true, and perfect inventory
thereof, with an accurate account of her acts and proceedings in the
premises when thereunto required; and to these ends she hath given pledges,
namely Richard Sherwood of Douglas in the parish of Braddan and Margaret
Christian of Douglas in the parish of Braddan who have entered into and
executed the usual bond in presence of the court.

Whereas, the Eccl Court of the Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this
day granted administration of the personal estates of Eliza Bridson late of
Douglas in the parish of Braddan deceased to Elizabeth Creer widow.
And whereas Richard Sherwood Douglas in the parish of Braddan and Margaret
Christian of Douglas in the parish of Braddan have agreed to become pledges
for the due and faithful administration of the said estate by the said
Elizabeth Creer according to law.
Now, Know All Men by These Presents, that we, the said Richard Sherwood and
Margaret Christian hereby bind and oblige ourselves jointly and severally
and our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators,firmly by these presents, as
pledges for the said Elizabeth Creer that she shall well and truly
administer all and singular, the personal estate and effects of the said
deceased according to law.  And in her default we bind ourselves, and each
of us, for the whole, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators to be
answerable and responsible to the said Court, and to all parties interest in
the said estate and effects, or the administration thereof in the place and
stead of the said Elizabeth Creer.
Witness our subscriptions this 28th day of March in the Year of our Lord One
Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Seven.
