                The humble petn. of John
                Gawne
Sheweth
       That John Killip late of
       the parish of Lezayre departed
       this life in the month of Augst.
       1866 Intestate.
       That the next of kin are
       Philip Lace and Mary his wife
       Thomas Crellin and Ann Crellin
       his wife.  Catherine Killip and
       Elizth Killip and John Gawne
       Petnr. & his wife Jane on this Isle
       also Margt Corkill wife of  Corkill off this Isle
       That it is necessary that
       administration should be 
	   had.     
         Wherefore Petnr prays
         a hearing hereof and 
         that administration
         of the Estate of the
         said John Killip may
         be granted to him
         or to some other fit
         & proper person & he
         will pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to
be heard before me at Ramsey on Friday the
15th March 1867  Whereof all proper parties
and persons are to have due notice.

		Ramsey on the 15th day of March

parties or their Advocates – Letters of
Administration (unto annexed) to the
Estated of John Killip deceased were
granted to the petitioner as prayed 
for. ~~~

We the undersigned next of kin
of John Killip late of the parish
of Lezayre do hereby desire
and request that John Gawne
of the parish of Lezayre our
brother in Law be appointed
administrator of our late
father John Killip’s Estate at
an Eccl. Court to be held in
Ramsey on Friday the 15th March
1867 and we do consent to
such appointment

	At an Ecclesiastical Court held in Ramsey
		on the 15th day of March 1867.

Upon hearing this petition in the presence of the parties or their advocates, and it appearing that 
John Killip late of the Clenagh in the Parish of
Lezayre on or about the Month of August
1866, departed this life Intestate, this Court Hath Decreed John
Gawne of Cooilbane in the
Parish of Kirk Christ
Lezayre Administrator of All and Singular the personal Estate
and Effects of said deceased by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so far forth
as the said Estate and Effects will extend and the Law bind him and distributing the residue
thereof according to Law, and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a full, true, and
perfect Inventory thereof, with an accurate account of his acts and proceedings in the
premises when thereunto lawfully required; and to these ends he hath given pledges, namely,
Thomas Caley of Ellanbane in the Parish of
Lezayre and William Curphey Fargher
Close-E-Volley in the Parish of Lezayre
who have entered into and executed the usual Bond in presence of the Court.
						
Decretum Est

Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of the Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this day
granted Administration of the Personal Estate
of John Killip late of Clenagh, in the Parish of
Lezayre deceased, to John Gawne of Cooilbane
And Whereas Thomas Caley of Ellanbane 
in the Parish of Lezayre and William Curphey Fargher 
of Close E Volley in the Parish of Lezayre 
have agreed to become Pledges for the due and faithful Administration of the said Estate by the
said John Gawne according to Law

   Now Know All Men By These Presents, that we, the said Thomas
Caley and William Curphey Fargher hereby bind and
oblige ourselves jointly and severally, and our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, firmly by
these presents, as pledge for the said John Gawne
that he shall well and truly administer, all and singular, the Personal Estate and Effects of the
said deceased according to Law.  And in his default we bind ourselves, and each of us, for the
whole, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators to be answerable and responsible to the said Court,
and to all Parties interested in the said Estate and Effects, or the administration thereof in the place
and stead of the said John Gawne.

	Witness Our Subscriptions, this 15th day March in the Year of our Lord,
One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Seven.

At the Eccl Court held in Ramsey					}	Tho. Caley

The foregoing Bond and Obligation was duly signed and delivered,	}	William Curphey Fargher
and also acknowledged by the executing parties of be their proper	}
Act and Deed 								}
