		The humble Petition of
		John Killip of Ramsey

Sheweth
     That Catherine Crennell late
     of the sd. town Spinster departed
     this life on the 21st day of February
     last Intestate ~~~~~~~~
     That it is necessary that
     administration of her Estate
     should be had—
     That the next of kin of 
     the said Catherine Crennell
     are her first Cousins Jane Christian
     alias Crennell wife of John Christian
     of the parish of Lezayre.  Elizabeth 
     Killip alias Crennell your petitioner’s
     wife and Ellinor Crennell spinster
     children of Robert Crennell & Ann his wife
     also Ann Corlett wife of William
     Corlett of the parish of Lezayre
     and Catherine Cain wife of
     Johathan  Cain of Douglas
     all of whom are the next of
     kin on this Island.  There is 
     also John Garratt who lives
     in London and two sons of 
     Ann Crennell (who was sister
     of Intestates father) living in
     Australia and whose names are
     unknown to Petitioner -----
     That the next of Kin of the
     Intestate in this Isle are
     desirous that Petitioner should
     act as such admin. 
		Wherefore Petitioner prays
		a hearing hereof and that
		Administration of the Estate
		of the sd. Catherine Crennell
		may be granted to him
		or to some other fit and proper person and
		he will pray &c &c

Ordered that this petn. do come on
to be heard before me at an Eccl. Court
to be held in Ramsey on Friday the
15th Inst. at the hour of 10 O’clock
in the forenoon whereof all proper
parties are to have due notice

		At an Ecclesiastical Court hold
		in Ramsey on the 15th day of March
		1867
Upon hearing this petition in the presence of the
parties or their advocates – letters of Administration
(hereunto annexed) to the Estate of the said
Catherine Crennell deceased were granted
to John Killip and William Corlett as
prayed for.

WHEREAS the Ecclesiastical Court of the Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this day
granted Administration of the Personal Estate
of Catharine Crennell late of Ramsey in the Parish of
Maughold deceased to John Killip and William Corlett
And Whereas John Hampton of Ramsey
in the Parish of Maughold and William Skillicorn
of Ramsey in the Parish of Maughold
have agreed to become Pledges for the due and faithful Administration of the said Estate by the
said John Killip & William Corlett according to Law.

Now Know all Men by these Presents, that we, the said John
Hampton and William Skillicorn hereby bind and
oblige ourselves jointly and severally, and our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, firmly by
these presents, as pledges for the said John Killip & William Corlett
that they shall well and truly administer, all and singular, the Personal Estate and Effects of the
said deceased according to Law.  An in their default we bind ourselves, and each of us, for the
whole, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators to be answerable and responsible to the said Court
and to all Parties interested in the said Estate and Effects, or the administration thereof in the place
and stead of the said John Killip and William Corlett.

	Witness our Subscriptions this 15th day March in the Year of our Lord,
One Thousand Eight Hundred and sixty seven.

The foregoing Bond and Obligation was duly signed and delivered,	}
and also acknowledged by the executing parties to be their proper	}  William Skillicorn
Act and Deed

Diocese of
Sodor and Mann

	At an Ecclesiastical Court held in Ramsey
		on the 15th day of March 1867

Upon hearing this petition in the presence of the parties or their advocates, and it appearing that
Catherine Crennell late of the town of Ramsey in the Parish of
Maughold Spinster on or about the 21st day of February
1867, departed this life Intestate, this Court HATH DECREED John
Killip and William Corlett of the
Town of Ramsey in the Prish
of Maughold Administrators of All and Singular the personal Estate
and Effects of said deceased, and accordingly they are sworn well and truly to administer the said
Estate and Effects of the said deceased by paying her just debts and funeral expenses so afar forth
as the said Estate and Effects will extend and the Law bind them and distributing the residue
thereof according to Law, and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a full, true, and
perfect Inventory thereof, with an accurate account of their acts and proceedings in the
premises when thereunto lawfully required; and to these ends they have given pledges, namely,
John Hampton of Ramsey in the Parish of
Maughold and William Skillicorn of
Ramsey in the Parish of Maughold
who have entered into and executed the usual Bond in presence of the Court.
