The humble petition of Joseph Higgins and Jane Janet Parks and all of the
town of Peel.
Sheweth:  That Elizabeth Hall of the town of Peel widow departed this
life on the 26th day of November 1868 having first made and published
her last will and testament whereof she appointed Alexander Hall and
your petitioners executors and executrix.  That the said Alexander Hall
has renounced the execution of the said will in favor of your petitioners
wherefore your petitioners pray a hearing hereof and that your Worship may
be pleased to grant probate of the said will to your petitioners and they
will pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at and Ecclesiastical
Court to be held at Peel on Tuesday the 2nd day of February next Whereof all
proper parties and persons are to have due and lawful notice.
Given at Peel this 29th January 1869.  T. C. Callow
I Alexander Hall of Dunoon in the County Argyllshire Scotland one of the
executors appointed by the will of Elizabeth Hall deceased bearing date
the 31st day of October 1868 do hereby by these presents renounce
executorship of the said will and consent that the same should be proved at
and Ecclesiastical Court to be held at  Peel on the 2nd day of February next
and probate granted to Janet Park Hall and Irene Higgins the executors
therein named.  Witness my name this 26th day of January 1869.

personally known to me acknowledges the foregoing instrument to be his own
proper act and deed.  Before Me.  Archibald Mitchell

At an Eccl Court held at Peel on the 2nd day of February 1869.
Upon hearing this petition in the presence of the parties or their
advocates. and upon proof being first had Probate of the will of Elizabeth
Hall late of Stanley Cottage in the town of Peel widow deceased was granted
to the petitioners Joseph Higgins and Janet Park Hall two of the executors
in said will named (Alexander Hall the other executor in said
will also named having by instrument in writing herewith recorded renounced
the burden of the execution of said will) as prayed for. Thomas C. Callow.
Last will and testament of Elizabeth Hall widow deceased having made
oath upon the Holy Evangelists that said testatrix Elizabeth Hall when of
sound and disposing mind memory and understanding duly signed and executed
the same as and for her last will and testament in his presence and in the
presence of Thomas Joshua Graves the other subscribed witness thereto.
Joseph Higgins and Jane Park Hall spinster one of the executors and the
executrix in said will named are therefore sworn (Alexander Hall the other
executor in said will also named having by instrument in writing herewith
registered renounced the executorship)
well and truly to fulfil and execute the said will and to administer all
and singular the personal estate and effects of the said deceased according
to law by paying the just debts, and funeral expenses of the deceased and
the legacies contained in her will so far forth as her said estate and
effects will thereto extend and the law bind them and to
return into the Archdeacon's Registry of the Isle of man a full true and
perfect inventory of all and singular the said estate and effects with an
accurate account of their administration thereof when thereunto
lawfully required and to these ends they have given pledges namely
Thomas Cottier and John Joughin both of the town of Peel who have entered
into and executed the usual bond in the presence of the court.

This is the last will and testament of me Elizabeth Hall of Stanley
Cottage in the town of Peel widow made this the thirty first day of October
one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight.
I leave and bequeath to my daughter Janet Park Hall the whole of my
stock of bed and bedding napery and wearing apparel to be her own
absolutely.
I leave and bequeath to my said daughter Janet Park Hall my household
furniture money share notes and all other my personal estate of
whatever kind or wherever situate.  To Hold to the said Janet Park Hall
for the term of her natural life or until her marriage which ever of these
events will first happen.  Provided nevertheless that should my said
daughter marry she shall receive out of my said estate the sum of forty
pounds and shall also be at liberty to dispose of any or of the whole of
the said household furniture previous to her marriage without being
called to account for the same.
On the marriage of my said daughter or upon her death I do hereby direct
that the whole of my estate (or so much as remains of the Alexander Hall and
my daughter Margaret Brown, Jane Higgins the said Jane Park Hall
and Eliza Park Brown or their legal representatives and the children of
my deceased daughter Agnes Macfarlane share and share alike such children to
be entitled to the share that would have belonged to the said Agnes
Macfarlane.
I appoint my son Alexander Hall my daughter the said Janet Park Hall and my
son in law Joseph Higgins executors of this my will and revoke all previous
wills by me hereto fore made.
In witnesses whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name the date aforesaid.
