The humble petition of Caesar Bacon of the parish of Santan Esq. Sheweth:
That Catharine Mary Bacon your petitioner's daughter departed this life on
or about the 27th March last intestate.
That it is necessary that some fit and proper person be appointed and sworn
in to administer the goods and effects of the said Catharine Mary Bacon.
Wherefore your petitioner humbly pray a hearing hereof and that your worship
may be pleased to appoint and swear in your petitioner or some other fit and
proper person administrator of the goods and effects of the said Catharine
Mary Bacon and petitioner will pray.

Whereas, the Eccl Court of this Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Man hath this
day granted Letters of Administration of the estate of Catharine Mary Bacon
late of Seafield in the parish of Santon decease, to Caesar Bacon Esq the
father.
And whereas John George Bennett of Williston in the parish of Conchan and
Thomas Charles Callow of Douglas in the parish of Braddan have agreed to
become pledges for the due and faithful administration of the said Estate by
the said law.
Now, know all men by these presents, that we, the said John George Bennett
and Thos C. Callow hereby bind and oblige ourselves jointly and severally,
and our heirs, executors, and administrators, firmly by these presents, as
pledges for the said Caesar Bacon that he shall well and truly administer,
all and singular, the Personal Estate and Effects of the said deceased
according to Law.  And in his default we bind ourselves, and each of us, our
Heirs, Executor, and Administrators to be answerable and responsible for the
whole to the said Court, and to all parties interest in the said Estate and
Effects, or the administrationt hereof, in the place and stead of the said
Caesar Bacon.
Witness our subscription this 26th day May in the year of our Lord 1870.
