Santon 1876 104 The humble petition of Mary Kennish widow of William Kennish late of the parish of St Ann. Sheweth: That the said William Kennish lately departed this life intestate. That your petitioner is desirous of obtaining administration of his estate. Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing hereof and that administration of the estate of the said William Kennish may be granted to your petitioner and she will pray. Alfred W. Adams for petitioner Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard before me at an Eccl Court to be held in Douglas on Thursday the 27th Oct 1870 whereof all proper parties are to have due and lawful notice. Given at Douglas this 22nd October 1870. R. Jebb At an Eccl Court held at Douglas on the 27th day of October 1870. This petition is continued to notice some of the next of kin of the deceased thereon referred to who have not been noticed. R. Jebbs At an Eccl Court held at Douglas on the 24th day of November 1870. Upon hearing this petition in the presence of the parties or their advocates and it being proved that William Kennish late of Ballavartan in the parish of Santan on or about the 17th day of March 1870 departed this life intestate. This court hath decreed Mary Kennish widow the relict of the said deceased administratrix of all and singular the personal estate and effects of said deceased and accordingly she is sworn well and truly to administer the said estate and effects of the said deceased by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as the said estate and effects will extend and the law bind her and distributing the residue thereof according to law and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a full true and perfect inventory thereof with an accurate account of her acts and proceedings in the premises when thereunto lawfully required and to these ends she hath given pledges namely Thomas Kennish of Multenarragher in the parish of Malew and Joseph Kennish of Douglas in the parish of Braddan who have entered into and executed the usual bond in presence of the court.
