The humble petition of Thomas Turnbull and Margaret his wife and John
Maddrell and Ann Maddrell
Sheweth that Jane Maddrell widow late of the parish of Rushen departed this
life on or about the 11th day of June 1870 And it is necessary that Letters
of Administration of her estate and effects should be granted. That the only
next of kin are her eight children your petitioners
Margaret, Ann, John and Isabella, wife of Thomas Turnbull, all of the said
parish of Rushen and William Maddrell, Paul Maddrell, Eliza wife of John
Turnbull and Jane wife of John Clague all of whom reside off this island.
Wherefore petrs humbly prays a hearing hereof and that Letters of
Administration of the estate of the said Jane Maddrell deceased may be
granted to your petitioner Thomas Turnbull and that petitioners may
have such other relief as is meet and they will pray.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at an Eccl Court to be
held at Castletown on Friday next the 17th day of June 1870 at 11
O'clock in the forenoon.  Whereof all proper parties and persons are to have
due and lawful notice.
Given at Castletown this 14th day of June 1870.

The humble petition of Thomas Turnbull administrator of the estate of Jane
Maddrell late of Port Saint Mary deceased.
Sheweth:  That your petitioner has realized the assets amounting to the sum
of 40.17.10 belonging to the said estate and has paid thereout preferable
claims to the amount of 8 pounds 8.6 which leaves in your petitioners hands
the sum of 32 pounds 9. 4 to be distributed.
That the only remaining claims as your petitioner believes against the
said estate are a sum of 48.o.o due to Thomas Frederick Usher and George
Parsons Quayle Tradings at Quayle and Usher and the sum of 13 pounds 16.8
due to James Mylchreest for both which amounts with fees orders have been
obtained against your petitioner.
That the amount in your petitioner hands as aforesaid falls considerably
short of the amount of the said claims
Wherefore our petitioner humbly prays that your worship may be pleased to
order a distribution of the balance of the said estate as your
petitioner hands as aforesaid according to law and he will pray.

Pursuant to the order or judgement of the Eccl Court granted on the petition
of Thomas Turnbull administrator of the estate of the late Jane Maddrell of
Port Saint Mary in the parish of Rushen Innkeeper dated at an Eccl Court
held at Castletown on the 19th day of May 1871 and agreeable to the
directions therein contained I have proceeded and distributed the amount of
the proceeds of said decedents personal estate to and amongst the several
claimants who have entered and proved their claims against the said estate
and whose proportions stands in the schedule following namely
