I William Taggart of No 8 James Street in the town of Douglas being of sound
mind memory and understanding do make and publish this paper writing as and
for my last will and testament in manner following:
I commit my soul to Almighty God and my body to Christian burial.
I leave and bequeath unto my son William my right title and interest in
and unto the house No. 8 James Street in  the town of Douglas wherein
we live at present.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Eliza wife of John Fargher the sum of
twenty pounds the said twenty pounds is to be paid by the aforesaid
son Wm but not until possessing the whole of the aforesaid house.
I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Isabella wife of John Teare the
sum of twenty pounds the said twenty pounds is to be paid by the aforesaid
son Wm but not until possessing the whole of the aforesaid house as
aforesaid.
I leave and bequeath unto my grand daughter Catherine Jane Teare daughter of
John Teare and unto Chas Albert Teare son of said John Teare the sum of ten
pounds each.
Lastly I nominate and appoint my beloved wife Isabella Taggart
residuary legatee and executrix of this my last will including all and the
whole of my property of whatever description both moveable and immoveable to
which I am now or hereafter may be entitled, to cash, credits, and effects,
hereby revoking all former will or wills by me
made.
I leave and bequeath unto all persons claiming under this will the sum of
six pence.
As witness my name and mark this the fourteenth day of July one
thousand eight hundred and seventy -  1870.   William Taggart

At an Eccl Court held at Douglas on the 11th day of June 1872.  Isabella
Taggart sworn executrix with pledges being the witnesses of the will.
