At a Chapter Court held at Peel on the 31st day of October 1873.
It being proved that Cornelius Clucas of Peel in the parish of German on
or about the 29th day of September 1873, departed this life Intestate, This
Court hath Decreed Eleanor Clucas widow and relict of the intestate
administratrix of all and singular the personal estate and effects of said
deceased, and accordingly she is sworn well and truly to administer the said
estate and effects of the said deceased by paying his just debts and funeral
expenses so far forth the said Estate and Effects will extend and the Law
bind her and distributing the residue thereof according to Law,
and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a full true and
perfect Inventory thereof, with an accurate account of her acts and
proceedings in the premises when thereunto lawfully required; and to
these ends she hath given pledges namely William Kneen of Ballagery in
the parish of Patrick and John Dawson of Peel in the parish of German
who have entered into and executed the usual Bond in presence of the Court.

Whereas, the Eccl Court of this Isle and diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this
day granted administration of the estate of Cornelius Clucas late of peel in
the parish of German deceased, to Eleanor Clucas widow his
relict.
And whereas William Kneen of Ballalargey in  the parish of Patrick and
John Dawson of Peel in the parish of German have agreed to become Pledges
for the due and faithful administration of the said Estate  of the said
Eleanor Clucas according to Law.
Now Know all Men by These Present, that we, the said William Kneen and John
Dawson hereby bind and oblige ourselves, jointly and severally, and
our Heirs, executors, and administrators firmly by these presents, as
pledges for the said Eleanor Clucas that she shall well and truly
administer, all and singular, the Personal Estate and Effects of the
deceased according to Law.  And in her default we bind ourselves, and
each of us, and our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, to be
answerable and responsible for the whole to the said Court, and to all
parties interested in the said Estate and Effects or the administration
thereof, in the place and stead of the said Eleanor Clucas.
Witness our subscriptions, this 31st day October in the Year of our Lord One
thousand Eight hundred and Seventy Three.

At a Chapter Court held at Peel on the 31st day of October 1873 The
foregoing Bond and Obligation was duly signed and delivered, and also
acknowledged by the executing parties to be their proper act and deed.
