At a Chapter Court held at Peel on the 31 day of October 1873.
It being proved the John Kelly of Ballagawne in the Parish of Michael on
or about the 3rd day of October 1873, departed this life Intestate.  THIS
COURT HATH DECREED Jane Kelly the widow and relict of the intestate
Administratrix of All and Singular the personal Estate and Effects of
said deceased, and accordingly she is sworn well and truly to administer the
said Estate and effects of the said deceased by paying his just debts and
funeral expenses so far forth as the said Estate and effects will extend and
the law bind her and distributing the residue thereof
according to Law. And to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese
a full, true, and perfect Inventory thereof, with an accurate account of her
acts and proceedings in the premises when thereunto lawfully
required; and to these ends she hath given pledges namely John Boyd of Peel
in the Parish of German and John Kelly of Ballagawne in the Parish
of Michael, who have entered into and executed the usual Bond in presence of
the court.
DESCRETUM EST R. Jebb

Whereas the Eccl Court of this Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this
day granted administration of the estate of John Kelly late of Ballagawne in
the Parish of Michael deceased, to Jane Kelly widow the
relict of deceased.
And whereas John Boyd of Peel in the parish of German and John Kelly of
Ballagawne in the parish of Michael have agreed to become Pledges for
the due faithful Administration of the said Estate by said Jane Kelly
according to Law.
Now Know all men by these present, that we, the said John Boyd and John
Kelly hereby bind and oblige ourselves, jointly and severally, and our
Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, firmly by these presents, as
pledges for the said Jane Kelly that she shall well and truly administer,
all and singular, the Personal Estate and Effects of the said decease
according to Law.  And in her default we bind ourselves, and each of us, our
Heirs, executors, and Administrators, to be answerable and responsible for
the whole to the said Court, and to all parties interested
in the said Estate and effects, or the administration thereof, in the place
and stead of the said Jane Kelly.
Witness our subscriptions, this 31st day October in the Year of Eighteen
Hundred and Seventy Three.
At a Chapter Court held at peel on the 31st day of October 1873 The
foregoing Bond and Obligation was duly signed and delivered and also
acknowledged by the executing parties to be their proper act and deed.
