41 Rushen I Thomas Moore of Fleshwick in the parish of Rushen do make this my last will and testament in manner following being of sound mind and memory at the making hereof; revoking all previous wills. I leave and bequeath unto my brother William Moore the sum of one pound sterling, my writing desk, clasp bible certificates and books with the exception of a work entitled the "Popular Encyclopedia" which I leave and bequeath unto my cousin William Moore of Peel. I leave and bequeath unto my sister Jane the wife of William Watterson farmer the sum of forty pounds sterling. I leave and bequeath unto my sister Susannah the wife of James Clague the sum of forty pounds sterling. I leave and bequeath unto my sister Margaret Catherine the wife of Thomas Clague the sum of forty pounds sterling. I leave and bequeath unto John Thomas Watterson, William Henry Watterson and Margaret Ann Watterson children of my late sister Ann and of her husband William Watterson the sum of ten pounds each and unto Peter Moore Watterson also son of the said William and Ann Watterson the sum of twenty five pounds sterling each of the aforesaid children of William and Ann Watterson to received his or her legacy on attaining the age of twenty one years but should any of the said children die before arriving at the age of twenty one without lawful issue surviving him or her the legacy of the deceased is to be equally divided among the surviving children on attaining their majority individually the interest of each legacy of the aforesaid children of William Watterson at the rate of four per cent to be appropriated to the said childrenšs education and trade. I leave and bequeath unto my Mother Jane Moore the whole of the remainder of my property be it of whatsoever description and I hereby constitute and nominate and appoint the said Jane Moore whole and sole executrix of this my last will and testament. But through any circumstance whatever the money value of my Policy of Life Assurance fail to be recovered then and in that case I declare all the bequests of money made in this will cancelled with the exception of that to my executrix who is such case will receive the whole of my personal property. In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this seventeenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and seventy two. Jane Moore mother of the testator sworn executrix with pledges being Thomas Turnbull of Cross Four Roads and James Clague of the Rowaney both of Rushen. John Thomas Watterson and William Henry Watterson children of Wm Watterson and Anne Moore acknowledge to have rec'd from William Moore of Fleshwick the sum of ten pounds each bequeathed to us by the will of our uncle Thomas Moore Rushen deceased Probate of whose will was on the 23d day of May 1873 granted to his mother Jane Moore widow Rushen who sometime since departed this life without having paid the said legacies but made her will and thereof appointed the said William Moore executor thereof. Probate of which will was on the 9th day of Nov 1885 granted to the said William Moore received 19 Nov 1886. Signed John Watterson, William H. Waterson. I Margaret Ann Watterson daughter of Wm Watterson and Ann Watterson otherwise Moore have received from William Moore ten pounds being a legacy bequeath to me in the will of my uncle Thomas Moore of Rushen deceased on 11th March 1889. Peter Moore Watterson of No 251 Thirty First Street Chicago USA of America now residing at Port St Mary Isle of Man received twenty five pounds on thirty first day of August one thousand eight hundred and ninety one.
