Sheweth
		That George Monk of Lezayre
		sometime since departed this life
		intestate – 
			That no representation
		has been set up to his Estate
			That petrs. and Creditors
		to a large amount are desirous
		that administration of his Estate
		should be granted to some fit and
		proper person.
			All(?) petrs. bef. me propose
		Thomas Corkill of Ramsey Bank Agent
		as a fit and proper person for
		that purpose.	
			Therefore petrs. ? a
			hearing hereof and that
			? Worship may be 
			pleased to apoint Administration
			of the Estate of the said George
			Monk decd. to the said
			Thomas Corkill and petrs.
			will ?

Ordered that this petition do commence
to be heard at an Ecclestiastical Court
to be held at Ramsey on Friday the
sixth day of June 1873, at ten o’clock
in the forenoon.  Whereof all proper parties
and persons are to have due and
lawful notice.

by John Christian Sumner of Bride at the insistance and request
of  Thomas Corkill Administrator or the Estate of George Monk deceased
to Inventory and Appriase such goods and Effects that were the
property of the said deceased at his late place of residence and having
appeared on the premises where he resided at the time of his demise

		At an Ecclesiastical Court held at Ramsey
		on the sixth day of June 1873.

Upon hearing this Petition in the presence of the Parties, or their Advocates, and
It being proved that George Monk late
of Ramsey in the Parish of Lezayre or Maughold on or about the 10th
	day of May 1872, departed this life a Bachelor and Intestate.

This Court had Decreed Thomas Corkill of the said town
Bank Agent Administrator of All and Singular the personal Estate
and Effects of said deceased, and accordingly he is sworn well and truly to administer the
said Estate and Effects of the said deceased by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as the said Estate and Effects will extend and the Law bind him and distributing the residue thereof according to Law, and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a full, true, and perfect Inventory thereof, with an accurate account of his administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required; and to these ends he hath given pledges, namely, William shimmin of Ramsey
in the Parish of Maughold and Thomas Teare
of Ramsey in the Parish of Maughold, who have
entered into and executed the usual Bond in presence of the Court.

Whereas, the Ecclesiastical Court of this Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this day
granted Administration of the
Estate of George Monk
late of Ramsey in the Parish of Maughold
deceased, to Thomas Corkill of the town of Ramsey

And Whereas William Shimmin of Ramsey
in the Parish of Maughold and Thomas Teare
of Ramsey in the Parish of Maughold
have agreed to become Pledges for the due and faithful Administration of the said Estate by the said Thomas Corkill according to Law.

Now, Know all Men by these presents, that we, the said William
Shimmin and Thomas Teare hereby bind and
oblige ourselves, jointly and severally, and our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, firmly by these presents, as pledges for the said Thomas Corkill
that he shall well and tdruly administer, all and singular, the Personal Estate and Effects
of the said deceased according to Law.  And in his default we bind ourselves, and each
of us, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, to be answerable and responsible for the whole to the said Court, and to all parties interested in the said Estate and Effects, or the administration thereof, in the place and stead of the said Thomas
Corkill.

	Witness our Subscriptions, this 6th day June in the Year of our Lord,
One thousand eight Hundred and Seventy three.
