22 Santan
In the name of God Amen.
I Thomas Quinney of Ballacrine in the parish of Kirk Santan being of
sound mind, memory and understanding at the making hereof, but calling unto
mind the uncertainty of life. Do make, publish, and declare this my last
will and testament in way and manner following.
First I commend my soul to Almighty God and my body to a Christian
burial.
Item I leave and bequeath to my granddaughter Catharine Ann, daughter
of Robert Brew Taubman and Elizabeth his wife the sum of fifty pounds
sterling, the interest of said sum at five per cent is to be paid into my
daughter's hands yearly and every year during her natural life for her
own whole and sole use, whose receipt alone will be a discharge for the
same, the same to be paid by my executor.
I leave and bequeath to my grand daughter Elizabeth Hannah, daughter of
Robert Brew Taubman and Elizabeth his wife the sum of fifty pounds sterling
the interest of said sum at five per cent to be paid by my executor yearly
and every year into the hands of my daughter during her natural life for her
own whole and sole use, whose receipt alone will be
a discharge for the same.
Item; I leave and bequeath to my nephew Thomas Cain the sum of five pounds
sterling.
I nominate, constitute, and appoint my son John my whole and sole executor
of the whole of my goods and effects of what nature soever
they may be. As witness my name or mark this 23rd day of July 1872
