I Henry Kermode of Spoldrick in the parish of Rushen do make this my last
will and testament in manner following, being of sound mind and memory at
the making hereof revoking all previous wills.
I leave and bequeath unto my wife Margret Kermode the whole of my property
be it of whatsoever description and I hereby constitute and nominate and
appoint the said Margret Kermode whole and sole executrix of this my last
will and testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name
this twenty five day of May One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy Four.
signed and published and declared by the testator Henry Kermode as and for
his last will and testament in our presence the same having been first read
to him in our presence and in the presence of each other on the above date.

At a Chapter Court held at Castletown on the 16th day of October 1874. James
Clague and Henry Kermode the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing paper
writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Henry Kermode late
of Spoldrick in the parish of Rushen deceased the testator made oath on the
Holy Evangelists that the testator died in the parish of Rushen on the 16th
day of July 1874 and that he was of sound mind memory and understanding duly
signed and executed and acknowledged the same as and for his last will and
testament in their presence both being present at the same time and in his
presence at his request and in presence of each other subscribed the names
as witness thereto in attestation thereof. Margaret Kermode the widow and
relict of the testator and the executrix named in his will is thereupon
sworn with and truly to fulfil and execute the same and to ------------ all
and singular the personal estate and effects of the deceased according to
Law by paying the just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses of the
testator and the legacys contained in the will so far forth as the goods and
effects will thereto extend and the law bind her and to return unto the
Episcopal Registry of the Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann a full true and
perfect inventory of the said estate and effects with an accurate account of
her administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required and to these
ends she hath given pledges namely Henry Kermode of Braddan and James Clague
of the Rowany both of the parish of Rushen who have executed and
