Whereas Eleanor Cannell relict of the late Patrick Cannell of Kione Droughad
in the parish of Michael did by her last will and testament bearing date the
24th day of December 1874 probate whereof was at an Ecclesiastical Court
held at Peel on the 19th day of February 1875 duly granted unto her son
Patrick Cannell the executor named therein amongst other things leave and
bequeath unto their granddaughter Eleanor Margaret Cannell the sum of twenty
pounds as by said will and testament doth appear.
And whereas the said Eleanor Margaret Cannell did on the 30th day of
December 1886 intermarry with John James Christian of the said parish of
Michael.
Know ye all men therefore by these presents that the said John James
Christian and Eleanor Margaret Christian formerly Cannell his wife do hereby
own and acknowledge to have received from Patrick Cannell executor of the
late Eleanor Cannell the full sum of  twenty pounds with all interest now
due and owing thereon being the amount of the legacy bequeathed to the said
Eleanor Margaret Cannell (now Christian) in and by the last will and
testament of the said Eleanor Cannell relict of the late Patrick Cannell of
Kione Droughad in the parish of Michael and bearing the date of 24th day of
December 1874 as aforesaid and the said John James Christian and Eleanor
Margaret Cannell now Christian his wife do hereby order and directed the
said legacy to be and stand cancelled on record as witness their names
hereto subscribed this the fifth day of April 1887.

This is the last will and testament of me Eleanor Cannell relict of the late
Patrick Cannell of Kione Droughad in the parish of Michael as follows namely
In the first place I commit myself to God and my body to Christian burial.
Secondly I leave six pence each to all cravers.
I leave my sons William John and Robert Thomas the sum of one shilling each
as legacy.
I leave to Eleanor Cleator the wife of James Cleator the sum of one shilling
and my daughter Ann the wife of Andrew Joughin the sum of one shilling.
I leave to my daughter Jane the wife of Robert Clague the sum of one pound
and to Catherine Eleanor Clague the daughter of Robert Clague the sum of
sixteen pounds and to Robert Clague the son of Robert Clague the sum of
fifteen pounds.
I leave to my granddaughter Anna Cannell the sum of five pounds and to
Eleanor Margaret Cannell my granddaughter the sum of twenty pounds. Lastly I
nominate constitute ordain and appoint my son Patrick Cannell whole and sole
executor of this my last will and testament and residuary legatee of the
rest residue and remainder of all my goods and effects, chattels, cash,
credits.
Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and
testamentary disposition heretofore made by me.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name or mark this the
twenty fourth day of December 1874.
Eleanor Cannell the testator having declared this paper writing to be her
last will and testament.
We the witnesses at her request in her presence and in presence of each
other at the one and same time and aforesaid date have hereunto subscribed
our names as witnesses.

Patrick Cannel sworn in as executor  and pledges Thomas Quirk of Ballacallin
and John Kennaugh of Cronkmoar both of Patrick.
