In the Name of God Amen
I Ann Skillicorn near Laxey in the parish of Lonan widow being of a sound
mind and memory do hereby make my last will and testament in Manner following
I leave and bequeath unto my nephew and niece John and Margaret Bruce
equally between them and their respective Heirs and assigns all and
singular my dwelling House out offices and gardens situated near Laxey in
the parish Of Lonan to be possessed by them after my decease
I leave unto my niece Sarah Kewley the sum of three pounds
I leave to my niece Ann Bruce the wife of William Clucas the sum of three
pounds
I nominate and appoint my niece Margaret Bruce afore named my whole and
sole Executrix of all the rest of my Goods and effects of what kind and
denomination so ever revoking all former wills ratifying and confirming
this and no other to be my last will and testament as witness my name this
the 16th day of October 1873

At an adjourned Chapter Court held at Douglas on the 21th day of May 1875

John Killip and John Kewley the subscribing witnesses to the execution of
the foregoing paper writing purporting to be the last will and Testament of
Ann Skillicorn, late of near Laxey in the parish of Lonan Widow deceased,
who died on or about the 11th day of April 1875 having made Oath on the
Holy Evangelists that Said testatrix Ann Skillicorn when of sound and
disposing mind memory and understanding duly signed and acknowledged the
same as and for her last Will and Testament in their presence and that they
at the same time in the presence of the said Testatrix and of each other
subscribed the same in attestation thereof   And Margaret Bruce a Niece of
the said Testatrix the Executrix in Said will named having by Instrument in
writing renounced such Executrixship, this Court hath therefore granted
Letters of Administration (with the said Will Annexed) of the personal
Estate and Effects of the said Ann Skillicorn, Widow, deceased, to John
Kewley of the said parish of Lonan, and accordingly he is sworn well and
truly to administer the said Estate and effects of the Said by paying the
just debts and funeral expenses of the said Deceased and the Legacies
contained in her Said will so far forth as her said Estate and Effects will
therto extend and the Law bind him   And to return to the Episcopal
Registry of this Diocese of Sodor and Mann a full true and perfect
inventory of all and singular the said Estate and effects with an accurate
account of his administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required and
to these ends he hath given Pledges Namely Joseph Quayle of Ballamilgyn and
John Killip of Ballacollister, both of the parish of Lonan, who have
entered into and executed the usual Bond in the presence of the Court
