Vicar General to be
The Humble petition of Joseph Callister
of Kinshew??? in the Parish of Patrick,
Farmer and John Kermode of Eirey Jorey
in the Parish of Marown, Blacksmith
and Christian Anna Kermode his wife.
Sheweth
that John Callister late of Eirey Jorey in the
said Parish of Marown Labourer departed this
life on the 23rd day of December 1879 intestate.
That your petitioners are desirous of obtaining
Administration of the estate of the said John
Callister deceased
Therefore petitioners humbly request
a hearing hereof and that Your Worship
may be pleased to grant Administration
of the said John Callister deceased to
your petitioners in due form of the
Law and petitioners will ever praym etc etc

Ordered that this petition come to be heard at the Ecclesiastical
Court to be held at Douglas on Thursday on 28th February 1778
at 10 o'clock in the forenoon whereof all proper parties and
persons are to have due and lawful notice.

Upon hearing this Petition in the presence of the Parties, or
their Advocates, and It being probed that John Callister late
of Eirey Jorey in the Parish of Marown on or about the 23rd
December 1877, departed this life Intestate
This Court hath decreed Joseph Callister and John Kermode
Administrators of All and Singular the personal Estate and Effects
of the said deceased, and accordingly they sworn well and
truly to administer the said estate and Effects of the said
deceased by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so far
forth as the said Estate and Effects will extend and the Law
bind them and distributing the residue thereof according to
Law, and to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a full,
true and perfect Inventory thereof, with an accurate account of
their administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required;
and to these ends they have given their pledges, namely
John Callister of Douglas in the Parish of Braddan and
James Shimmin of East Foxdale in the Parish of Malew, who have
entered into and executed the usual Bond on presence of the Court.
Whereas, the Ecclesiastical Court of this Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann
hath this day granted Letters of Administration of the Estate of John Callister
late of Eirey Jorey in the Parish of Marown deceased to Joseph Callister
of Kionsliee?? in the Parish of Patrick and John Kermode of Eirey Jorey in
the Parish of Marown
And Whereas John Callister of the South Quay in the Parish of Braddan and
James Shimmin of East Foxdale in the Parish of Malew have agreed to become
pledges for the due and faithful Administration of the said Estate of the
said Joseph Callister and John Kermode according to the Law
Now Know all Men by these Presents, that we, the said John Callister and
James Shimmin hereby bind and oblige ourselves jointly and severally and
our Heirs, Executers and Administrators, firmly by these presents for the
said Joseph Callister and John Kermode that they shall well and truly administer,
all and singular, the Personal Estate and Effects of the said deceased,
according to the Law, And in their default we bind ourselves, and each of us
our Heirs and Administrators, to be answerable and responsible for the whole
to the said Court and to all parties interested in the said Estate and Effects,
or the administration thereof in the place and stead of the said Joseph Callister
and John Kermode
Witness our Subscriptions this 28th day of February in the year of our Lord
One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy Eight.
