EPISCOPAL WILL Lonan 1879 #162 FHL Film #0106489:
In the name of God Amen.
I William Hogg of Laxey Glen in the parish of Lonan do hereby make this
my last will and testament in manner following hereby revoking and
cancelling all wills heretofore made by me.
First I leave and bequeath unto my three sons Edward, William and
Joseph my dwelling house and garden situate in Laxey Glen in said parish
of Lonan to be equally divided between them. I also leave and bequeath unto
my son Benjamin the sum of fifty pounds sterling and to my son
John I also leave and bequeath sum of fifty pounds sterling to all and
every person or persons having or pretending to have a right to claim in
this my last will and testament I leave the sum of one shilling. I hereby
nominate constitute and appoint Thomas Bridson Dickson of Laxey Glen my
whole and sole executor and residuary legatee of all the rest and remainder
of my goods chattels money and effects whether moveable or immoveable real
or personal or whatsoever nature or description and
this I publish to be my last will and testament have hereunto subscribed my
nane this the twenty fourth day of February one thousand eight hundred and
seventy nine.
