The last will and testament of John Gelling of the parish of Malew.
First I commit my soul to God and a Christian burial.
2nd I leave and bequeath all my chattels and personal property to my two
daughter Margaret and  Ann equally between them and leave them executor or
executrix of all my moveable property, monies, deeds, or securities to pay
all my just debts and funeral expenses.
3rd I leave and request them to pay ten pounds to my son Richard to send him
to trade.
4th I leave and bequeath them my executors or executrixes to pay my son
Robert the sum of ten pounds.

21 Oct 1862  At court held in Castletown:  Margaret Gelling renounced
executrixship with Ann the other executor being a minor Richard Gelling
is therefore appointed administration of the estate of the said John
Gelling with pledges Thomas Gelling and William Corlett
