In the name of God Amen.
I Ann Creer Caine at present living at the Vicarage Lonan being of sound and
disposing mind memory and understanding at the time of the making hereof do
make and declare this paper writing for and as my last will
and testament that is to say I do give and bequeath all my real and personal
estate derived from my late father the Reverend Thomas Caine and belonging
to me by will or Deed in possession or in expectancy and
all other property or effects to me belonging of whatsoever nature to Hugh
Stowell Esquire of Baldrine in the parish of Lonan and to the
Reverend Joseph Bellamy Chaplain of Christ Church Laxey in the said
parish of Lonan their heirs executors and assigns upon trust that they
the said Hugh Stowell and Joseph Bellamy their heirs and assigns shall
use the yearly income derived from such properties as they may think best
for the right and proper bringing up and educating my nephew
William Edward Sharpe and my niece Isabella Maria Sharp and further
upon trust that when my said nephew shall attain the age of twenty one
years he shall enter into and become absolutely and forever possessed of the
farm called Awhallan in the parish of Braddan bequeathed to me by
my father and all rights and interest thereto belonging upon condition
that until his sister my before named niece Isabella Maria Sharp shall
attain the age of twenty one years he my said nephew shall pay thereout to
her the yearly sum of forty pounds and that upon her attaining the before
named age of twenty one years she shall receive the sum of five hundred
pounds from the said estate to be recoverable by her as a debts upon the
same by due process of law should he my said nephew fail to
pay her the said amount of five hundred pounds upon her attaining the
said age. I do further give devise and bequeath to my said niece to be
hers absolutely and forever the dwelling house situate in the town of
Douglas also bequeathed to me by my late father such house and all thereto
belonging to her when she shall attain the said age of twenty
one years. And further in the event the decease of either my said nephew or
niece before the time herein before stated as that on which he or she shall
become possessed of the properties herein before bequeathed then and in that
case the survivor shall become possessed of the whole property before
bequeathed and divided between them both. I empower
my before named trustees to exercise full power and authority over all
the before named properties appertaining to letting repairs and
otherwise until my said nephew shall attain his majority or in the event
of his decease prior thereto then until my said niece shall attain the age
before named excepting only the power of disposing of the before named farm
or other the dwelling before bequeathed. I do hereby name
constitute and appoint the said Hugh Stowell and Joseph Bellamy to be the
executors of this my last will and my before named nephew and niece to
be jointly and equally residuary legatees for all and every part of my
personal and real estate not heretofore disposed of by this my last will.
I do authorize my executors to realize the value of such of my personal
estate as they may deem advisable to sell and to use the proceeds
thereof as they may deem best for the benefit of my said nephew and niece.
