By the Grace of God Amen
 
I William Corris of Patrick Street in the Town of Peel, Mariner, 
being of perfect mind, memory and understanding but considering the 
uncertainty of this life, do make this my last Will and Testament 
in way and manner following.  
First I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to Christian burial.
I leave bequeathed to my son Thomas the sum of five shillings sterling.
I leave and bequeath to my son Caesar the sum of five shillings stg.
I leave and bequeath to my daughter Lydia the sum of twelve pounds sterling.
I leave and bequeath to my daughter Catherine one half of my dwelling house in 
which I now live in Patrick Street in the Town of Peel and one half of the furniture 
therein for her own use and benefit.
I leave and bequeath to my daughter Ann Jane one half of said dwelling before mentioned 
with half of the house hold furniture for her own use and benefit.
I hereby make, nominate, constitute and appoint my son Henry my whole and sole Executor 
of all the rest of my worldly goods, cash, chattels and effects of every description 
whatsoever and hereby debar all others claiming or pretending to claim in this 
my last will and testament with sixpence legacy.
As Witness my subscription this the 9th day of October 1875. signed William Corris

At a Chapter Court held at Peel on the 21st day of October 1881.
William Moore and William Fick the subscribing Winesses to the execution of the forgoing 
paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of William Corris late of 
Patrick Street in the Town of Peel in the parish of German, Mariner deceased who died 
in or about the 13th day of October 1881-having made oath on the Holy Evangelist that 
said Testator William Corris when of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding 
duly signed and acknowledged the same as and for his last Will and Testament in their 
presence and that they at the same time in the presence of the said Testator and of each 
other subscribed the same in attestation thereof- Henry Corris a son of the said deceased 
the Executor named in the said Will is therefore sworn well and truly to fulfill and execute 
said Will and to administer all and singular the personal estate of the said deceased 
according to law - by paying the just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses of the said 
deceased and legacys contained in his will so far forth as his estate and effects will 
thereto extend and the Law bind him.  And to return to the dioceses Registry of this Isle 
and Diocese of Sodor and Mann a full true and perfect inventory of all & Singular the said 
estate and effects with answerable account of his administration thereof when hereunto
lawfully required - And to these debts [ends] he hath given pledges - namesly Thomas Kaye
of Peell in the parish of German and William Moore of Peel in the parish of German, 
who have entered into and executed the usual bond in the presence of this Court.
