At an Adjourned Chapter Court held at Peel on the Seventeenth day of November 1882
It being proved that Edward Bawden late of Foxdale in the parish of
Patrick on or about the third of June 1882 departed this life intestate, This court hath decreed Eleanor 
Margaret Bawden widow the relict of the said deceased administrix of all and singular the personal estate 
and effects of said deceased, and accordingly she is sworn well and truly to administer the said estate and 
effects of the said deceased by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as the said Estate and 
Effects will extend and the Law bind her and distributing  the residue thereof according to Law, and to 
return to the Diocese Registry of this Diocese a full, true, and perfect inventory thereof, with an accurate 
account of her administration thereof when thereunto lawfullyrequired; And to these ends she hath given 
pledges, namely, William Moore of Lhergydhoo in the parish of German and William Moore of Peel in the
parish of German who have entered into and executed the usual Bond in
the presence of the court.
Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this day granted Letters 
of Administration of the personal estate of Edward Bawden late of Foxdale in the parish of Patrick
decease, to Eleanor Margaret Bawden Widow, the relict of the said deceased.
And whereas, William Moore Lherghydhoo in the parish of German and William Moore of Peel in the 
parish of German have agreed to become pledges for the due and faithful administration of the said Estate 
by the said Eleanor Margaret Bawden according to law.
Now, Know all Men by these Presents, that we the said William Moore and William Moore hereby bind and 
oblige ourselves, jointly and severally and
our heirs executors and same firmely by these presents as pledges for
the said Eleanor Margaret Bawden that she shall well and truly
administer, all and singular, the Personal estate and effects of the said deceased according to Law.  And in 
her default we bind ourselves and
each of us, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, to be answerable
and responsible for the whole to the said court and to all parties interested in the said estate and effects for 
the administration thereof,
in the place and stead of the said Eleanor Margaret Bawden..
Witness our subscriptions this 17th day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred 
and eighty two.    William Moore.
At an Adjourned Chapter Court, held at Peel on the 17th day of November 1882 The foregoing Bond and 
Obligation was duly signed and delivered,
and also acknowledged by the executing parties to be their proper Act
