Malew /Castletown 1882 75 At a Chapter Court held at Castletown on the 26th day of May 1882. It being proved that William Kegg of Castletown in the parish of Malew on or about the 16th day of April 1882 departed this life intestate. This court had decreed Philip James Kegg a son of the intestate Administrator of All and Singular the personal Estate and Effects of said deceased, and accordingly he is sworn well and truly to administer the said Estate and Effects of the said deceased by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as the said Estate and Effects will extend and the Law bind him and distributing the residue thereof according to Law, and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this Diocese a full, true, and perfect Inventory thereof, with an accurate account of his administration thereof when there unto lawfully required; and to these ends he hath given pledges namely Edward Martin of Castletown in the parish of Malew and Robert Kewley of Castletown in the parish of Malew who have entered into and executed the usual Bond in the presence of the Court. Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this day granted Letters of Administration of the estate of William Kegg late of Castletown in the parish of Malew decease, to Philip James Kegg a son of the said deceased. And whereas, Edward Martin of Castletown in the parish of Malew and Robert Kewley of Castletown in the Parish of Malew have agreed to become Pledges for the due and faith Administration of the said Estate by the said Philip James Kegg according to law. No, Know all Men by these presents, that we the said Edward Martin and Robert Kewley hereby bind and oblige ourselves, jointly and severally, and our Heirs, Executors, and administrators, firmly by these presents as pledges for the said Philip James Kegg that he shall well and truly administer, all and singular, the Personal Estate and Effects of the said deceased according to Law. And in his default we bind ourselves, and each of us, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, to be answerable and responsible for the whole to the said court, and to all parties interested in the said Estate and effects, or the administration thereof, in the place and stead of the said Philip James Kegg. Witness our Subscriptions, this 26th day of May in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty Two. The foregoing Bond and Obligation was duly signed and delivered, and also acknowledged by the executing parties to be their proper Act and Deed. Before me, R. Jebb
