This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Mylchreest of
Ballagarraghyn in the parish of German in the Isle of Man made this
twenty first day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand eight
hundred and eighty two as follows:
I give devise and bequeath to my sister Margaret Dinwoody and her heirs the
estate of Ballagarraghyn in the parish of German aforesaid, with all
the intacks, houses, and appurtenances thereto belonging, save and
except the two cottages on the south side of the Douglas and Peel Road
at present occupied by my sister Ann Clark and Hugh Kennagh respectively,
and which said cottages I give to my sister Ann Clark aforesaid for her
during her life time only, and at her death the said cottages are to revert
to the heirs of my sister Margaret Dinwoody.
I also give to my sister Ann Clark aforesaid a life annuity of fifty pounds
chargeable on the aforesaid estate of Ballagarraghyn and which annuity is to
be paid from time to time by Margaret Dinwoody and Thomas Leece hereinafter
named as my executors in such way and manner as they shall direct and deem
proper.
My estate of Ballacotch in the parish of Marown and certain lands in the
parishes of Patrick and German known by the name of Mull e Cleu I give
devise and bequeath to my sister Margaret Dinwoody and her heirs together
with a plot of ground called Ballamoar purchased from the executors of the
late Robert Charles Quirk, subject to certain legacies hereinafter to the
named and also certain charges mentioned in the will
of my late wife Mary Mylchreest, the said legacies to be paid by the
executors within two years from the date of probate of this my will.
To my sister Elizabeth Gell and to each of her children namely John Gell,
Henry Gell, Ann Gell, John Ewan Gell, Finlo Gell and Thomas Gell I give
the sum of seven pounds each.
And to Emily Dinwoody and her children namely Wilfred Mylchreest Dinwoody,
Leofric Matthews Dinwoody, Arthur Stanley Dinwoody, Emily Margaret Dinwoody,
Frank Kneals Dinwoody and Mary Edith Dinwoody I
give  the sum of seven pounds each.
To my nephew Thomas George Firth Mylchreest I give the sum of thirty pounds
and to Thomas Leece of Douglas one of my executors I give the sum of sixty
pounds.
All my goods and personal effects I leave to my sister Margaret
Dinwoody aforesaid.
I also hereby nominate and appoint my sister Margaret Dinwoody and Thomas
Leece of Douglas as executors in trust of this my will.
In witness hereof I have subscribed my hand the day and year above written.

At a Chapter Court held and Ambrose Fargher the subscribing witness to the
execution of the foregoing paper writing purporting to be the last
will and testament of Thomas Mylchreest of Ballagarraghyn in the parish
of German deceased who died on or about the 30th day of April 1882 having
made oath on the Holy Evangelists that the testator Thomas Mylchreest when
of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding after the same had been
read over to him duly executed and
acknowledged the same by putting his cross mark thereto as and for his last
will and testament in the presence and that they the same time in
her presence at her request and with in the presence of each other then they
subscribed their names as attesting thereto and Margaret Dinwoody the
executrix in the said will named having predeceased the intestate Thomas
Leece the executor in the said will named is therefore sworn
well and truly to fulfil and execute said will and to administer all and
singular the personal estate and effects of the testator according to law by
paying his just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and the legacies
contained on the said will so far forth as her estate and effects
will thereunto extend and the law bind her and to return unto the
Diocesan Registry of this isle and diocese of Man a full true and perfect
inventory of the said estate with an account of his administration
thereof when thereunto lawfully required and to these ends he hath given
pledges namely William Edward Leece and Thomas Cowley Kinrade both
of Peel in parish of German who have entered into and executed the usual
bond in the  presence of the court.

24 Sept 1884 James Mylchreest and Arthur Matthews guardians of
Leofric Mathews Dinwoody, Arthur Stanley Dinwoody, Emily Margaret Dinwoody,
Frank Kneale Dinwoody and Mary Edith Dinwoody minors
received 35 pounds of 7 pounds each by the will of Thomas Mylchreest.

16 Oct 1884 Thomas George Mylchreest rec'd 35 pounds legacy given him by his
uncle Thomas Mylchreest.

10 Sep 1884 John Gell, Henry Gell, Ann Gell, Evan Gell and Finlo Gell of
Kennaa received seven pounds each bequeathed to them by said Thomas
Mylchreest

11 Sep 1884 - Emily Dinwoody rec'd seven pounds.

17 Sep 1895 Thomas Leece received sixty pounds.

24 Jan 1885 Thos Gell received 7 pounds
Thomas Gell of 81 Northern Grove Didsbury Manchester received 7 pounds John
Gell received 7 pounds for Elizabeth Gell on Oct 1895.
